George is A Scammer

He also tried to scam me. I have been talking with him thru November and December 2024. I was going to send him the 1,180 this Friday December 27, 2024. However, all along I always had a gut feeling that something was bad. So, I did a little search out of curiousity and found these posts. Bad Business and no puppy

I wanted to purchase a Basenji puppy for the holidays to surprise my kids so I found Rise and Shine Basenji. Gave George Rubio all my information Paid him 1180.00 through Apple Pay. Then he stated he needed money for insurance for the transport of the Basenji so I proceeded to send him through Apple Card’s for the payments for the insurance. He got a total of $2,130.00 from me. So now I’m out of a total of $3,130.00! He couldn’t get the last $1,00.00 because it wouldn’t go through. I now have a thousand $ on my Apple account!

I am writing to report a fraudulent transaction involving George Rabio and a website I found online. After reaching out via email, I received a call from George, who was polite and convincing. I proceeded to pay $1,180.00 for the shipping and purchase of a dog, and I signed paperwork for an owner transfer. George assured me the dog would be shipped to an airport in New York for pick-up.

However, he later changed the story, claiming he was using "FastBookAirlines.com" for shipping. I then received an email from FastBook Airlines requesting additional money for insurance. Not realizing this was a scam, I complied, as I was simply trying to surprise my family with an early holiday gift after the heartbreaking loss of our dog this year.

In total, George Rabio scammed me out of $3,100.88. When I contacted him again on Saturday to follow up on the supposed shipping, his excuse was that he was in a different time zone and sleeping. When I pressed him for reassurance as his client, he hung up on me.

This experience has caused significant emotional and financial distress, and I am determined to ensure that George Rabio is held accountable.
