My name is Heather Scarbrough I am the accounts receivable manager with T&T Produce Co Inc ( phone # 706.866.5955) (email: [email protected]) we are a wholesale fruits & vegetable company with 100 employees and have been in business since 1989. we were contacted by Rod Walker with RFR Promotions out of Knoxville Tn he said he was the owner of RFR Promotions and they offered fundraising opportunities for schools in the state of TN. His business consisted of buying different fruits ,vegetables, flowers, mulch etc.. at wholesale prices from business like myself and then selling them to a specific school at a profit and then the school would sale them to the public at a profit. He purchased 115 cases of strawberries from us on March 15, 2023 which we delivered to Mt Juliet High School @ 1875 Golden Bear Gateway, Mt Juliet Tn 37122 Mr Walker informed us on that date that a check would be put in the mail to cover his invoice with us in the amount of 2070.00. The strawberries were delivered to the destination and invoice signed with payment terms stated however we never received payment from RFR Promotions I spoke with Mr. Walker several times over the last couple of months in which he continued to tell me he had mailed a check and it must be lost he said he would reissue another check however as of today we have yet to receive it. the last contact I had with him was on May 11 which again he said he had mailed a check. He is no longer responding to my text or emails at this time I reached out to specific school we delivered to and spoke with Karen who is the fundraiser/ PTA contact and she informed me that they had already paid Mr. Walker for the product at the time of delivery in March and they were unaware we had not been paid. This guy is scamming business's under the impression he is doing " noble " work for schools systems in our state when in fact he is pocketing their money and not paying vendors for the goods provided. I think the public as well as the school systems should be aware. Please reach out if you have nay more questions regarding this matter
