I received an email from the Registrar Agency of Corporations on 4/18/2023 in regards to my LLC fees. I briefly looked at the email & assumed it was the same email from the Virginia State Corporation Commission (SCC) as I was receiving theirs also in regards to fees being late & needing to be paid by 4/30/2023. I paid the fee's of $174.8 on 4/18/2023 to the Registrar Agency of Corporations based on their email. I contacted the SCC to inform them that I had just paid the Registar Agency of Corporations & the rep explained that they do not work with 3rd party businesses & the SCC would not be receiving anything from this company. On 4/19/2023 I checked my account on the SCC website & called to verify the information that I had received the day prior. I immediately called my credit card company to infrom them to stop payment to the Registar Agency of Corporations. Upon contacting them at 877-848-8544 (my credit card company provided the phone number), I spoke with Jane (customer service rep) & she stated that they would not cancel the fee. I contacted my credit card company & have been working with Hector (customer service rep) & he explained what I would need to do & when I would be able to complete a dispute. I did contact the Registrar Agency of Corporations on 4/19/2023 & spoke with El (customer service rep) who became very rude once I explained the situation again. I requested to speak with a manager named Lola, who got rude & who stated that they would not cancel & then assured me that the proper payment would be provided to the SCC. 4/20/2023 nothing was received to the SCC. 4/26/2023 I paid my fee's to the SCC in the amount of $75. I am doing the steps to file a dispute with my credit card company as this Registrar Agency of Corporations is a scam.
