Type of a scam Employment
?Business in UK with 107 US Companies?:
I received a text from someone in my contact list letting me know they were with this company, my resume' had been reviewed and they wanted to conduct an interview via IM:
"I am Txxxxx Wxxxxx from Reckitt Benckiser Group PLC...Your resume posted online has been reviewed and approved by the HR department. We are impressed by your background and would like to invite you for the job briefing and interview... Kindly reply back with "YES" if interested."
"... you are to have Telegram Messenger Application Downloaded, setup, installed from your Google Playstore / Appstore. Once done, you are to contact the Hr manager Rxxxxx Rxxxxx on Telegram Messenger at: (+14702919563) to proceed with your interview. Your job code is Xxxx. Best Regards."
Then when you contact the HR Manager they truly do go through an entire interview with you. They never ask you for money but frequently make statements that sound like you will need to make a purchase of some kind. When you ask about it, they assure you all you need will be provided by the company:
"You will be undergoing a week of training and orientation which will commence as soon as you have all the working materials and you rest assured that you will be paid for it.
You will need some Accounting software and a Time Tracker to commence your training and orientation and most importantly, you need the software to get started with work as soon as possible.
NOTE: The work of the time tracker is to evaluate your working hours from the company's server for your payment purpose since this will be online and work from home job until the branch near you is commissioned."
My Q: "The company will have the Accounting software and Time Tracker installed on the computer equipment provided, correct?"
His A: "Yes correct."
"The funds for the software programs/working equipment will be provided for you by the company via check. The check will cover the cost of a Brand new Hp Laptop, Printer, Scanner, Time tracker with a fast internet connection you need to start working with, and other Office equipment.
The check will be issued by any of our 107 affiliates in the United States to ensure its swift delivery since the company’s corporate office is in London. Ensure to utilize the funds as instructed for the software programs/working equipment and I will refer you to one of the company's certified vendors you are to purchase them from at a discount rate due to the company's long-lasting relationship and bilateral agreement with them. The vendor will be responsible for completing the installation of the software programs with the required updates and patches before shipping them to you.
All working materials come along with the company's official logo branded on them. Okay?"
When they begin preparing the check they dictate that you MUST deposit it using your bank's online/mobile app.
