Found this website to purchase a Jack Russell Terrier puppy. After many back and forth emails we agreed to purchase one. The only form of payment accepted was Apple Pay/Apple Cash. The agreement was to pay in two installments to ensure the payments processed correctly. The seller would then ship the puppy via airline carrier. The first attempt at payment on 4/9 was rejected by the seller. No funds transferred. The seller provided a different number and the second payment attempt for $450 processed on 4/11, funds transferred and she acknowledged that she received it. I agreed to send the remaining payment on 4/12. I then received an email from the seller listing a different phone number to use. When I sent the transaction to that number, the person that received it had no knowledge of what it was for and rejected the payment. I then attempted to send the remaining payment to the number that I used for the original $450 but Apple Pay / Apple Cash said the number was not eligible for Apple Cash payments. In the meantime, she sent another new phone number to use but I did not attempt another payment because things now seemed suspicious. I reached out to Rachel 3 different times today via email which is the only form of communication I have with her. I told her we no longer wanted to purchase the puppy and to please send me back the $450. She has not responded to any of my attempts. While I understand the risks involved in these types of transactions, I was willing to take a chance. However, I do feel it necessary to report this as I believe it is a scam and my money was taken dishonestly.. Here are the Phone numbers Rachel provided for payments to be sent to: +1 (301) 851-9629 +1 (240) 501-1127 (number the $450 payment correctly processed and seller acknowledged receiving it) +1 (240) 495-8812 (number I referred to for person not knowing anything about the transaction and declined the payment) +1 (240) 437-1595 I also reported the issue to Apply Pay. I do not have any other information, and thank you for whatever can be done to address this.
