I wanted an online quote for health insurance in Florida. The website asked several questions including my phone number. I only wanted an online quote and the site was supposed to give me a quote, but at the end of the questions, they only gave me a phone number to call. I didn't call. The next day I woke up with 46 missed calls, even though it was Saturday. I have received dozens of unsolicited calls and text messages for several days, at any hour. Many of the phone numbers of the calls have the same area code as my phone number, therefore I don't know if they are real calls or unsolicited calls. All the calls were unsolicited but I could lose real calls because many of the phone numbers have my area code. I need to verify and all the calls are about offers of health insurance. It is harassment. I didn't give permission to share my phone number with multiple companies.
