Several person in st peterburg florida and westwego, la stated my computer was hacked and install software protect my computer and other devices in January 2024 costing $2496.78. I got call today 4/6/2024 stating my computer was hacked again and need firewall to stop hackers-another $1616 charge for services. I did not paid for possible services on april 6th when I research and found company name, address, and email address changed and I determine this service was a scam for money.

August 23rd, 2023 my computer froze on me while I was on it and this number showed up on the computer screen to call to fix the computer. So I called and they said they had to get into my computer because it was hacked. I’m not sure what they did but they said it was going to cost 448.00. Make the check out to Devine Mart. Send the check to Devine Mart, 3135 1st Ave North Suite 11104 St Petersburg Fl 33733. Now they have been calling me from different numbers saying they are going to take 6300.00 from my account every year. I believe they are Indian background with American names. I got suspicious when they said if I wanted to cancel the service I had to be near my computer. That’s when I realized it was a scam

My computer was locked up and I was stupid enough to call the number in a panic and let them 'fix'. I did not pay and took my computer to Best Buy for virus removal. Best Buy Geek Squad detected 2 viruses and removed all the fake support files, which confirmed they are scammers.

There are 2 phone numbers. 877-827-3122 in the fake "warning/alert" pop-up. Also 518-294-5481 when they called back from to claim the service was done.

They said to use this info to send a check to:

My laptop had a blocker on it, I could not get out of, could not delete, then I numbers showed up, which I foolishly called in a panic, instead of contacting AVG, who I have a subscription with. They went into my system and said they were fixing it and then told me to send them a cheque for $399.00usd. I was told not to pay them its a scam. I have been bombarded with calls, and now received a threatening email saying the installed on the IP ADDRESS will be disabled and the problem will be much more frequent on all the devices, so in order to avoid any kind of legal consequences reach us back ASAP. Our Support Number is 1-929-647-0498.

My mother was told she had a computer virus. The scammer began to upload "protection" into her computer. She asked the intruder to stop and said she needed 24 hrs to think if she needed help. My sister got on the phone and told whoever to stop. My partner spent the next day wiping their crap from my mother's old computer. They keep phoning her and have emailed her a ridiculous invoice for 1899.00usd.

Received a Warning on my laptop and it was frozen & blocked, unfortunately called the help# at the bottom of the screen which brought me to the Ultimate Store rep. He indicated he was connected to Microsoft and proceeded to tell me I had no Firewall for protection and bad actors had infiltrated my computer. I panicked and gave them access to clear it out of the hackers and agreed to pay $1400. After I calmed down I checked on Google to find this was a scam and Microsoft would never contact a user that way and they are NOT connected to Microsoft. I also contacted my Internet security Co and they told me I DO have firewall protection. So I concluded this was a scam and did not send any money but scared they can infiltrate my computer again.
