It was qikbay took control of my computer and set me up qikfox browser for a three year services for 379.00. Then I get phone call from qikbay that I have been scammed

Then they took control of my computer again to fix it and charge me another 379.00 again.

My McAfee subscription was expiring in 2 weeks and I had a McAfee renewal message pop up on my computer which I paid to renew but it wouldn’t install so I called the McAfee support. They said I had downloaded the wrong software and they would refund my money (which they did) and said they would download the correct software which ended up being something called Qikbay. They logged into my computer to download it created a invoice for the payment which was $180 for a 3 year subscription. During the process of them on my computer to “download and install “ I received a text message from my bank saying they declined the payment until I answered Yes it was ok or No it wasn’t. That made me uneasy and assumed it may be a fraud company that somehow intercepted my McAfee call so I answered my CC company with a NO do not process but got an instant message back saying I had already responded… so I immediately called the CC company and reported it. The support people who took over my computer evidently had answered via my email account on the computer with a “YES” do the payment was processed. The CC company immediately canceled the card and will put the money back into my account thankfully so I’m not out any money but beware…. Not sure how McAfee’s support number goes to a shady operation but it does.

QIKBAY MCAFFE

I was trying to get security for my phone. I downloaded MCAFFE from my app store and noticed certain websites would not give me access. I called and was told I downloaded the wrong MCAFFE software. I felt uneasy but was talked into purchasing their product for $180 for 4 yrs. About an hour after this purchase, i called back to cancel and asked for a refund. The agent refused and kept telling me i needed to have it on my phone. He literally kept talking and ignored my request for a refund. I then googled MCAFEE 800 number. The rep. said although they do have partners selling their products QIKBAY is NOT one of them. She slso said MCAFEE does not have a promotion for 4 years for $180. DO NOT deal with this company. Now i fear they have hacked my phone because it’s doing some seriously strange things, like my app icons appearing HUGE. STAY AWAY from them!

Qikbay sold me a McAfee product, but it wasn't able to install on my computer. I requested a refund within the 30 day time limit, but they would only do a partial refund because "the security code for this product has already been used on you and we can't sell this to anyone else". NOT MY PROBLEM. They will give you the run around and say anything to keep their money. DONT TRUST THEM.

I had a "YOUR COMPUTER HAS BEEN INFECTED" Message, I "Googled" McAfee Support and called the resulting phone number, which was to QIKBAY, a reseller of McAfee to include support. They told me I had installed the wrong McAfee product. I did agree to spend a considerable sum to QIKBAY to install and configure the "right" products. The technician had trouble completing the work. I tried to get a refund directly from QIKBAY. I have been given the run around for over a month. I have an open dispute with my credit card company. To me, QIKBAY took advantage a senior who was in a vulnerable state of mind due to the Computer Virus notification. I am 100% UNHAPPY with QIKBAY.
