Promoted a website selling English Bulldog puppies. Stated the puppies were going for $600 with a shipping cost of $150. When Zelle payment didn’t work , we used the prepaid gift card they asked for. 24hrs later we were expected to receive our puppy from the airport. An email from a “third party” stated we needed to send $1500 in order for the puppy to be in a safe crate. Only prepaid gift card is what was asked for. We realized we were scammed and did not fall for the $1500 payment. The $750 prepaid card now a balance of $0 as they used the money.

We contacted the seller on February 20, 2023, via email at [email protected] . Pictures of the puppy were sent Feb 20 and a price of $700 for the puppy plus $160 for shipping was agreed upon. Payment had to be made in either Zelle or Apple Pay. Zelle restricted daily payments so it was paid over 2 days, Feb 21 and 22. Once payment was confirmed, shipping was arranged, and information was provided that the shipper would contact us when the puppy was ready to be shipped.

We were contacted by the shipper on February 23. A call on Feb 23 AM was received requesting payment for Pet Insurance following an email requesting it that went into Spam.

The shipper's email address is [email protected], their PayPal email is [email protected], and the payment method was "friends and Family" in PayPal. The payment was to be reimbursed upon picking up the pet at the airport or upon home delivery. This was to ensure we showed up for pickup. The payment was made on Feb 23 to Nagata Enterprice, Bank Name, Chase, Routing number 02100021, Account Number 997975088. Shipping confirmation was received for delivery to Santa Barbara, CA airport on Feb 23. An email on Feb 23 indicated the flight was delayed and would get in too late to be able to deliver the 10 pets on the flight. Delivery would be on a flight the following day, Feb 24. An email on Feb 24 indicated a glitch that 4 pets, ours included, would require a special climate-controlled crate in order to be taken from Denver to Santa Barbara per airport officials. This would require us to pay an additional $2,450 for the crate to purchase one or $1190 to rent a crate. The rental would cover 90% of the crate cost or 100% of the crate rental through the insurance we purchased. We did not answer, and contact was cut off when we did not pay the additional fees.

We began looking up the seller and shipper info in a deeper dive and found scams tied to the seller’s address and the names associated with the puppy farm, the phone number, and the shipper. We contacted the only airline that had matching flights to what we were presented, United Airlines, and found that they did not have the crate restriction mentioned but also would not have transported 10 pets on a plane at one time. A check of ScamPulse.com complaints found an identical experience in a complaint.

We were lucky enough to stop when we did, but we likely will not recover the funds sent through PayPal after submitting them to their fraud division. Our Zelle payments will not be recovered.

I was searching for German Shepherd dog breeders online and found riversidegermanshepherpuppies.com and found a dog that we wanted there and used their contact form to get more information. They emailed me several photos of the puppy and two videos along with a lengthy description.

They then asked for a description back of our family so that we can be approved. I sent back a description. They explained how delivery would work. The puppy is $1,100 and the delivery would be $275.00. They asked for payment by Venmo or Google Pay. I explained that I would rather do payment through PayPal and they refused. When I asked for proof of vaccinations records they became defensive and tried to deflect back to purchasing the puppy. I then explained I wanted proof of ownership and asked to do a video call to see the puppy. They responded by saying that if I thought they were lying then there is nothing they could do about it. Needless to say, I searched the number they texted from, reverse image searched the pictures of the puppy and it came back as a scam. The puppy pictures and videos were from an instagram page from 2020. Beware of this tactic, as they are using multiple websites with the same scam. Alway ask your breeder for vaccination records or to video chat to see the puppy before sending payment. Looking back I can see the red flags. The website did not list a location they were from, there were several puppies available that were a variety of coat types and patterns (which wouldn’t be normal for a single litter), and the backgrounds in the pictures were all very different.

The scammer claims to own the mom & dad of the pups she’s selling on puppy finder.com. She’s actually not even the breeder, but a broker for an Amish man who raises the pups. She sold us a pup for $1,200. She only gives a 5 day health guarantee if you have pup seen by a vet & it has a major issue within those 5 days. We didn’t find out that was the health guarantee until we drove 3 hours to meet her at a public place to get the pup. Our pup had an upper respiratory infection that started within 2 days. The vet put pup on antibiotics but she got worse over the next day & we returned to vet. X-ray showed an enlarged heart. We paid extra to have X-rays sent off to be read by radiologist. Report came back she also had a congenital collapsed lung. She will only live 6-24 months. Broker met us a week later to exchange pup for healthy one. She said she was going to give her to someone for free & be honest about her condition. We asked if we could have her & take care of her. She said she wanted to hold on to her awhile. She would call us if she did give her away. 2 days later I see that pup on puppy finder.com for $1,200! She’s going to scam some new owners. If they don’t end up getting an X-ray within the 5 days, they won’t know in time. The breeder gave the pup a med made for cows & horses to get her over the respiratory infection so she’d look healthy enough to sell. I have all our texts & the X-rays for proof.

I was told I was purchasing a cane Corso that was 10 weeks old. Payed, and signed papers. Once papers were signed they sent a tracking number for the pet transport. The pet transport then had me pay to upgrade the kennel to a heated kennel. Within the same day I was told I had to pay $2000 extra for pet insurance. It would’ve added up to over $4000 in the end. While waiting for details I was blocked on everything and couldn’t get into contact. Happy tails County was the pet transport.

Found a website online that was to good to be true reached out to the people about 10 week old Dachshunds for $500 they sent us a contract and we asked them for FaceTime or personal call and they would not do it. The personal information they have for us are cell phone numbers names and address. There are two websites with the same puppies with different names and genders. Smithdachshundbreed.com

https://orizedachshund.com/

They were persistent about us, sending the money and going forward with the purchase of the puppy. They were wanting to send it to the airport or home delivery and they also offered a pick up at their home address.

I paid this company for a puppy and shipping fees from airport to my home. They said they dropped the puppy off at the airport. I began receiving multiple calls from an unknown number and then an email popped up in regards to my puppy being shipped. I was told it was the wrong crate and the puppy was not allowed on the plane like that. I needed to send $1500. I said to call the owners and tell them to fix it because I already paid. He said the puppy is in my name so if I don't handle this hell report me as abandoning the puppy. I messaged the sellers and the airport guy said they paid $600 and I had to pay $900. Meanwhile, I had reached out to a friend asking him to pay for the dog. He owed me money and when I sent him the sellers Bitcoin wallet, he assumed it was mine and sent $4k. I contacted the seller and they said they hadn't received it yet. And as soon as they did they would let me know. I know they did and can prove it. The following day after I sent $900 more to the airport guy he sent me an email and said they were ready to send the puppy but 1 small issue to deal with. He would need $2500 to get insurance on the puppy. And I wouldn't let my child go without insurance so why would I do this to my puppy. And don't contact the sellers they don't know about this and it's my responsibility. Once I pay him that they will leave with the puppy and all of the money I paid is 100% refundable when they get there with the puppy. I said keep the puppy. I'm not paying you anything more. I'll let the seller know. And I want my money back immediately. I emailed the seller as well. No response. I emailed them both the next day. No response. And I have no money or puppy.

These people have a Facebook profile I initiated contact by saying how cute the puppies were , They said the puppies were available for $500, but I didn't have that as Im ready to face brain surgery then they private messaged me and asked for $100 , they offered to deliver the pup. They weren't going to send any forms until after the money was received. They offered to drive over 4.5 hours to deliver the puppy for free even though the wife was sick . They had npo or 501 C affiliation thats what alerted me ,that and no paperwork . I hope this helps someone . Do not adopt from Cute and Adorable Schnauzers for adoption and rehoming

They email me pics of this dog and a video. They sent me a contract please see uploaded file. They answered the phone and said the puppy would shipped the following day. They They stopped answering us I reported to my bank but they can't do much.

The scammer presented as a Maltese dog breeder, and stated they had puppies avail. Their website showed me pictures and when I requested the all so sent me pictures via email. They. Gave me an a address. To pick up the puppy, e be n a contact to sign. Upon initiating payment the cash app name used ca us Edd me some alarm, and their request that I divide up the money into 3 increments was also a flag. I then asked them. For credentials and two ways in which I could verify their were a legit business. They became irate acting and rude, at which point I ceased all communication with them.

I found this organization online that had teacup Maltese for sale. We negotiated for more than a week and I excepted to 10 week old puppies. The organization asked me to make a $600 deposit to hold the dogs although they continued showing them for sale on the web. When I was ready to go, pick up the puppies and pay the additional money required, they offered free shipping from Texas to Colorado, that they wanted all the money upfront, which I refused. I said I would not give them anymore money until I saw the dogs. all of a sudden I don’t hear from them anymore. I went online and check them out and they are noted to be scammers. I have alerted the ******** Police Department about it and will turn this over also to the Better Business Bureau and the FBI.

I initiated contact after viewing their website. I filled out the contact form and was sent a text a little later. I asked the person named Tyler Simmons to call me. After the phone call, my wife and I decided to buy 2 puppies. He sent me texts about cost, shipping, caring for puppy, and payment instructions. He sent me his "financial cashier's" CashApp information. We tried to send the initial deposit of $1000 using the CashApp , but it would not go through. We then tried to send the money to the Zelle account he sent me and it got blocked as well. He went so far as to say his financial cashier created a new Zelle account because of all the inconveniences we were experiencing, but that failed as well. We contacted our bank to see what the issue was preventing us from sending the money. Our bank told us the transactions were actually being blocked by Zelle because of suspected fraud. Through all of this, there were obvious signs I should have picked up on, but my excitement blinded me and I ignored them. Thank God Zelle prevented us from losing $2000.

Scammer promised a dog, but would not show current proof of the dog. A picture of the dog promised was found from another scam website from 8-22-22. It is currently 2-12-23. After the scammer was advised that I would be canceling all transactions they threatened to come to my residence, do to me sending basic info such as: name and address. The picture below is one of the scammers pictures.
