Scammer has a website that offers German Shepherd puppies. The website is well put together with pictures of different families who have adopted from them along with short stories. We fell in love with a dog and decided to put a deposit down. The website says $300 will put a hold on our puppy of choice. The dogs were $700, and the balance would be paid once the puppy was delivered. The person we dealt with was strongly urging us to pay the full $700 that day even though it clearly states on the website they only need $300. We luckily told her we were unable to because earlier that day we put down a large deposit on a home after that is when things went downhill and we realize that we were probably getting scammed. The picture was not taken down off the site, and I decided to inquire about the puppy we chose from my phone, I was graded with the same information my boyfriend was greeted with she marketed the dog like he was still up for sale sent me the same pictures and was asking for the same $300. We knew at that point it was a scam. We tried to get our $300 back And she dropped off the face of the Earth. She stopped texting with us after we asked for the $300 back and we have not heard from her cents. I called my bank and advise I was scammed and they want me to provide whatever information I can in order to try and get my money refunded. this is pure evil and she should be stopped. The website shows business in Texas but when i sent the cash app $300 it went to Columbus Ohio. Lesson learned the hard way

I contacted an add on craigslist about a dachshund puppy for $350. I contacted the seller though text message and every thing seemed legit. They sent AkC paperwork, let me know how the paperwork would be processed and sent lots of pictures as well as video's of the same puppy. The person asked for a $50 hold. When he received the money he said. Hay I only got $50 I ment 50%, you need to send more money. We agreed I could send another $50 and pick up the puppy tomorrow, which is today. He has now disappeared and I have filed a fraud complaint with my bank.

Light delivery Agency had to have another 700$ halfway through supposed delivery said the dog crate was not acceptable so they would not continue with delivery until fee was paid I sent another 700$ through Chime app to Franceska Murray Threet of Portobeagle, Light Delivery Agency then informed me my dog was on its way to my home from Iowa I live in Wi I have not received the dog or any reason why not and both Light Delivery Agency and Portobeagle will not respond to me by phone text or email

I went to go buy a dog off of facebook for $200 is what the guy asked for. he then proceeds to tell me i need to make a $50 deposit fee for the dog to secure my spot getting it then the rest i will pay cash. After i sent that he then tells me i have to pay another $50 for vet costs and after i sent that it came down to another $50 for “vaccination” cost he claimed she got her last shot and i needed to pay it. It gets to the point where i said i need to see the dog before i send anymore where i already sent $150 and he then proceeds to hit me again with she needs more documents to go with her and it’s another fee of $50 and after i pay the fee i will get the dog. It comes in total to the $200 he asked for, paper work is filled out he has all my information on it and with him, my phone number, email, and address, for the dog which now technically is my dog and i did not receive the dog nor my money back when i asked for it.

the numbers and email he told me to send the money too for her documents and vet related payments for the dog

My aunt found their website and saw a picture of a Maltese she fell in love with. She contacted them through the website and they asked her to set up Zelle to pay a deposit but she was hesitant after someone warned her about the animal scams. I started looking into this myself and it’s a scam.

- Pooler, GA, USA

Scammer contacted me by text as figured out in the market for Maltese Pup. Yes too good to be true as price only 450. Demanded 200 up front which I paid. Was supposed to meet at a delivery point but cancelled. Then said for no additional cost they would ship to us using express logistics. I know this is not a real delivery company.

- Akron, OH, USA

Found site on Facebook. Paid 150 deposit for puppy. Seller came back next day stating we had to pay another 500 for the crate which ended up being only 300. Then they said they needed another 200 for insurance. Provided tracking number for carrier company. Carrier company then stated they need 1000 for FDA certification. At that point realize there was no puppy being delivered and reported them as a scam on Facebook.

I thought I was really buying a puppy. The scammer said whe was in Madison Wisconsin and gave me an address in Madison so I would trust her. She also gave me ab email for funds transfer, I offered an in person payment but she requested transfer online only and gave a phone #, but when I called it went to an answering service. Then the scammer said that her husband will call me. When I answered it was a guy with a heavy African accent. The number was from a land line in Sneedville TN

I ask to send a video of her puppies and closed the deal. The picture used in Facebook is from google pictures under "Davila Jayda."

Inquired to purchase a puppy online and paid a deposit to have the puppy shipped to me. However, once it was reported that the puppy was dropped off at the airport I was contacted to pay an additional $1000+ to "upgrade" the crate or else the puppy could not be shipped to me. I would be required to purchase an electronic air conditioned travel crate. As my family has experience with playing with pets and I follow several horse racing social media accounts that document how horses are shipped on flights I knew this was not true. Therefore I knew I was scammed and would not be receiving any puppy.

- Beebe, AR, USA

I found the website bostonpuppy.org in order to buy a puppy. I was contacted by Victoriia Banakh by text and was sent to another website in order to complete the payment. The website looks very legitimate. I was arranging the delivery of the puppy and there was no response. I started researching the website and found others that were also scammed. This website needs to be taken down so that others will not be cheated out of their money.

Claimed had puppy for sale; purchased puppy. Asked for money for travel insurance; paid 1,000 of the 1,500. Puppy seller paid 500. Said needed a different crate because the first was faulty. Paid 1,200 seller paid 250 to rent crate. Said ran out of crates for rent and had to buy it for 1,050 more. Paid 1,050. One of the gift cards refused to activate paid seller 200 via paypal. Contacted me and claimed they needed 1,270 for vaccinations and food and accommodation. Told them they were lying because I'm a veterinarian and know the state laws and price of vaccines. They cut off communication then.

I saw a cute pup on Stephanie Leece's FB page. Total was to be $1100. Paid 600 deposit on 9/11, then on 9/12 required $500 for remainder and $100 shipping.

On 9/15 I received notification from Easy and Fast Agency to pay $2050 ($1500 insurance and $550 for a thermal crate. I could not do this and told them I realized I was being scammed and would not send anymore money. They contacted me for several more days threatening to sue me for defamation, for abandoning the puppy (which EVEN if there were a puppy, Stephanie Leece was responsible until he was delivered to me and the $2050 was returned (this was to happen upon delivery also. They really played my heartstrings; I was not thinking with my brain unfortunately. All info/contact between her and myself (including texts, FB etc...) have been deleted.

We found pictures of English lab puppy's. Emailed to inquire about a coupe of puppy's. Got some pictures back. Said we'd recive tracking #when puppy was shipped. It didn't happen when they said it would. When the puppy was supposedly shipped, they sent it to the wrong address. Called airport shipped out of cause company scammer shipped it through woof transport. They were trying to get more money out of us and we refused. Airport personnel found information but found it to be a scam. Please don't order from this site. You will be heart broken.

We attempted to purchase a puppy. Was told the seller/breeder was located in New Jersey. After engaging in several emails, we decided to purchase the puppy for an agreed amount and was sent a signed contract. We were then contacted by the shipping company with details; however to insure delivery we were asked to pay for insurance. Having already paid for the puppy, we reluctantly paid for insurance. Then there was a delay due to time of payment. We were then contacted by the shipping company saying they had the puppy but needed additional money for crate or dog wouldn’t be able to travel. We were told all money would be refunded upon arrival of dog at airport. The final part was when the shipping company said we have to pay $3000 for a vaccine or dog wouldn’t travel. Going back and forth between seller and shipping company, final payment was made and no dog arrived. After a few more emails, said seller/breeder admitted it was a scam and their disgust for Americans.
