I used Thumbtack to find a private investigator. Donald from Wyoming Detective Bureau made contact with me through that website. We also spoke via phone. Upon agreeing to him investigating and doing a full social media pull on two individuals for $500 he agreed to provide those reports in 2 weeks. After nearly a month I hadn’t heard back I reached out several times when Donald finally contacted me back he said there were a lot of red flags and that he thinks an financial pull would be beneficial and He charged me another $250 and said the report would be done that week and I’d receive all information by September 8th to be able to use in my upcoming court case against these two individuals. I never received these reports at all, after lots of attempts to contact them, I would get messages via thumbtack making excuses, then texts from his secretary Tammy making contradictory excuses, finally I received some generic background check in the mail which would have cost me$30 online to do myself. I did not order that. I still have never received the investigation reports that I ordered, entire process began back in July, first payment made Aug 9th, it’s now November. Also when trying to call the phone number provided it rings once and then is silent now answer. The secretary Tammy also frequently changes her phone number as well. They have no physical address on their website, thumbtack not on the postal envelope I received with the incorrect reports. On the occasions we did speak on the phone they constantly were telling me that in order for them in look into the “findings” more they needed more money as it would be costly. But Donald never actually confirmed or fully said what these “findings”were other than saying very vague information and throwing out different prices to see what I would agree too. After a while they were not responding to messages at all unless I stated I was ready to move forward with the next project and pay that, then they would answer until I mentioned needing my other reports first then suddenly no response again. Very sketchy.
