Type of a scam Employment

On 08/08/2023 I was contacted with an employment offer by email from [email protected] they advertised the company as Presico Engineering Pte Ltd at this website **************************** the business is located in Singapore. I was given information to contact a Nalyza Maria on TEAMS with the address provided. She identified herself as Mrs. Nalyza Maria, Senior Vice President, Global Operations, she provided an email address [email protected]. I participated in a 1 hour interview through Chat which was not a normal interview, the questions were just comments and her words and sentence structure was poor. The position was a remote and I was offered the position Project Manager at the end of the interview. The only information Nalyza provided was she was working in Florida for the company. I did not receive any other detail information on locations or project information. All of my research on Presico indicated their projects were in Asia and nothing in the US. There is no information of US offices or employees. Nalyza stated accounting was sending me a check by email that I could deposit remotely in my bank account. I would use the money to purchase all equipment and software needed for the job. She offered a pay rate during training at $30 per hour and it would increase to $60 per hour after training. I did not provide any personal information except my name and address which can be found online. The following morning I checked in with Nalyza at 8 am I asked more questions about US office addresses, US employee name etc. to ensure they were a legitimate business. Nalyza immediately stopped communicating on TEAM. I have not received any other communication. I did receive a Employment Offer Letter by email with the name of the company which was pasted into it, the letter was poorly written in very large text and through out the letter it repeated the same information.
