I knew I didnt need to renew and I asked her why would she need my information and she said on her end my medicare wasnt renewed. I asked her a few more questions before she decided to hang up

This is an old scam that is re circulating through a letter through the mail. I just recieved one. They are offering you to join the secret society, but in this 12 page letter signed by Tom. My research showed that you have to send money that they try to con you out of. Then keep harping/ harrassing on you to send money.

I was using my Roku remote control app and attempted to get a new app to watch on my TV . The TV displayed a QR code as well as a phone # to call to access that app. My phone's camera is broken and when I called the # I may have miss dialed by 1 number and a person with foreign accent answered and pretended to be with Roku. Telling me to go into my phone and download something and give full permissions when they next asked be to open by coinbase app I told them that has nothing to do with Roku and they are trying to scam me . I then hung up and immediately ran protection app on my phone to see if any viruses or other harmful things were on my phone .

I received an email from Elizabeth J. Crossland that my McAfee subscription had been renewed for $409.09. I had never used McAfee. It had a invoice # 8JVKNS8P-37698688. It said the payment had already been processed. There was an number included in the email that I called. When I spoke to the person who answered the phone I told him that I did not order this subscription. He said I subscribed in the past but I had not. He said I would have to download an app on my computer or phone to cancel. When I told him I wasn't going to download an app but told him he could send me an cancelation form he got upset. He was insistent and I ended up hanging up the phone. I also checked my credit card statements and didn't see any charges related to the subscription. The email said the payment would post within 48 hours so I will keep checking my accounts.

i never received anything and so i checked with the tracking number and it didn't come up.
i called the company and was told i didn't buy form their company because they don't do any advertisement through facebook.
i had to call and cancel my credit cards as well.

10/22/23. Scammer going by the FB Marketplace name Johnny * was selling (4) Taylor Swift concert tickets for an Indianapolis Concert at $300 each. Scammer asked to have the money sent via Venmo to "***". After the victim sent the money, the scammer asked for an additional $400 as a charge for sending the tickets. The scammer then blocked the victim on VENMO and FB Messenger. The scammer did not return money or send tickets. All names used by the scammer were either fake or duped from other accounts

A man(A.I.?) David Moore, claimed he was representing Publisher's Clearinghouse; and that I am the
Winner of said Sweepstakes for $4,000,000 plus dollars and a brand new Mercedes.
He wanted to know was I alone or not (right now); also he asked about my employment status/history. I was vague and non compliant to his inquiry; so the call abruptly terminated. The incoming call was listed as UNAVAILABLE.

I inquired about an ad TBG had on Facebook. They declared they were a government agency and offering grants. They contacted me back and sent me official links to verify my identity, including ID.me for the IRS and Social Security Website. All looks authentic. When I set up the identity Authenticator and added security measures he couldn’t get through he became rude and was pushy. I decided then that it was fishy and reached out to another Facebook user who also was interested and she verified she thought it was a scam too and went through the same thing. I reported account to Facebook and blocked them but not sure what information they got from me.

Scammer calls day of package receipt and attempts to instruct victim to retrieve package from mailbox and what to do with package. This has happened multiple times by same scammer. Victim is elderly female with dementia.
