I was called and told I would be asked questions fora survey. The individual asked me if I was in a safe place to speak I said yes. After they asked if I knew my zip code to which I answered no and they told me they had no further questions and hung up on me.

He was trying to obtain information about my kids, asked about my job and kept going off topic about giving us a child safety kit for free. I am an educator and never heard of such a thing. I reported this to my union and none of these claims about child safety kits were true. He was clearly a scammer and luckily I was able to end the conversation without disclosing much information.

I started receiving calls from this phone number three weeks ago, the calls begin as early as 7:00AM my local time and as late as 9:00PM. When I answer the phone with hello, the voice of a woman on the other end says… you just call me, and my response is you’re calling me. And this number has been routinely calling, so I don’t answer and instead I’ve blocked the caller. Added, I’ve received text stating… (you called, who is this?) from another phone number with Texas area code. Altogether strange as I don’t know any person with the number, as well as the manner in which the caller contacts me. Therefore, I question whether these are all scam attempts.

When I tried to call number back from caller id, voice message mentioned credit bureau and I hung up. Can you find out who called my home phone and why? I thought it was a call from an HR recruiter who has called me from the same area code 551- before.

When I realized that it was a scam I called the 1833 number and the lady gave me a fake email address and then told me there was nothing she could do as she was hanging up on me it was a scam from the beginning
