I got a call asking to speak with ms.[my last name] and I said yes. The caller immediately hanged up after that. The voice was that of an asian man with an asian accent.

They called and keep trying to get me to say “Yes” when asking if they are talking to the correct name they was asking for. Refuse to give me the name of the company they calling on the behalf of. When I spelled YES they hung up.

I was called and picked up to a loud beep. Following, a man in a foreign accent asked me if this is me. He addressed me by name; thus, he knew it beforehand. I had said yes and waited for a response. Then, my roommate came and hung up the phone as he just went silent after. Following this, I searched this up and apparently this can be a scam where they use my voice to authorize purchases. I would rather be safe than sorry and report this number.

Phone call was received at approximately 9:01 AM march 6, 2024. A person named Kim I believe her last name was something to the effect of Luciano called and inquired about my property in Rhode Island for sale. I did not solicit the call. She had my address and my phone number and was interested in my property which I have no intention of doing anything with. how she got my phone number and the address to my property I guess it’s public knowledge. But it concerned me thank you.

Asked if I was Daria? I said no. Then she said: "I am very sorry, my assistant gave me the wrong number and mistook you for one of my clients. This is just my work number. I hope I'm not bothering you." I answered it was ok, when I try to reach someone I ask if I am calling the correct number and if that person is not there to let me know. She said her name was Annie, and we went back and forth I gave my first name. When I questioned her she said What and I said in this day and age it is hard to trust anyone. Asked my age, I said 86 and I said I was a widow? She said she had a business from Europe and was also buying Gold, I said I wrote book and gave her the name of the book. (I KNOW IS SHOULD NOT HAVE DONE THAT) I then figured next time she contacted me I would stop all conversation as I was not purchasing anything she was selling or any Gold. Then I got the exact same message from another number, which sadly I deleted. I then asked her is she had another number, got no response to my question yet. I then sent people I know a copy of the message telling them I though it was a scam and to be careful and not to answer them. .

Please act against phone and internet scammers as well. They are more intrusive. This one looked legitimate until I checked with BBB. Thanks, BBB!!!

The scammer is using a number VERY similar to my friend's phone number - same 305 area code, but two digits are deceptively different. Both calls occurred on 1/23/2024. When I returned the call, it says the number is not in service. However, I have received 2 calls from this number!

Called from a number i didnt recognize. Asked if they were speaking with XZY (my personal name), I said Yes. They hung up immediately. Called around my office a few times doing the same thing to other people.
