Found kitten online. Contacted seller. Was forwarded a picture and video of the kitten I chose. Was told it would be $750.00 in total and they would send me papers to sign. I signed the papers and sent to them. A shipping company Boothdoor Pet Delivery, then contacted me and said they weren’t allowed to ship the kitten in crate provided. It had to be a thermal regulated crate and it would be $800.00, or $1,000.00, or &1,300.00 depending on which I chose and all but 50.00 would be refunded to me. They wanted me to send it via Zelle. I told them I didn’t have Zelle. They said I could send it PayPal but to send it “friends and family”. I told them I did not have an additional 850.00. They told me I needed to borrow it because they could only hold the kitten for 48 hours. If I didn’t then the kitten would be taken to a shelter by the government and I will be charged for abandonment which can give me jail time and cost me thousands of dollars, that they urge me to cooperate with them and get the crate.

Found website offering Bullmastiff puppies at low price, contacted breeder via website, instant reply, then received phone call from a Colorado number about the dog. Once payment was made contact with the seller was slow to contact, this made me suspicious and attempted to research for online reviews, only thing I found was information from a pet scam website that listed the website was set up in September of last year and they've received one complaint.

B O and his wife, A L are running a puppy scam on FB. I believe there are several other people on the page working with them.

I was told $750 which includes puppy, papers and shipping. I asked for his tail to be docked, another $150.

After messenging on FB we agreed the pup would be shipped at a later date so that his tail can heal. He sent a message and said his father died and he had to fly to Canada and was shipping the puppy in 2 hours.

He used some agency his sister used for shipping. The agency contacted us with a tracking number. And sent an email saying we owe $595 for shipping. I said there is a mistake because the seller is paying the shipping. He said it was for insurance and we will be refunded once the pup is delivered. I said I did have the money and he called with a foreign accent and I could hardly understand him. He was aggressive saying we better pay or we will be charged with puppy abuse. He sent a text saying they will quarantine the dog and I will be fined and will go to jail and he hope I have a good lawyer. B O called and he also had a foreign accent, so his picture on FB I believe is not him. He is telling me to pay and I will get refunded. I told him he should pay to get refunded.

He said he was grieving because his father died and didn’t have the money and that I should pay and the delivery agency is charging him $400 to get the puppy back.

I asked for a refund. He said he didn’t have because he used it to pay bills.

After further research, I found the same puppies that he is selling on other sites.

He blocked all my calls and he blocked me on FB. I am out of $900 and my husband is monitoring his page. He said the guy is still selling fake puppies.

I am on a website on Facebook Yorkshire puppies for rehoming and had a 6mo old

- Malvern, AR, USA

Offering exotic parrots and eggs for sale

- Palm Beach Gardens, FL, USA

Inquired of an italian greyhound for sale on the website. Was contacted via text very shortly after the inquiry. (should have known then.) Seemed to be affable text discourses so we went ahead and used zelle to send deposit. The balance was to be due when puppy was shipped. The next morning, the puppy's owner Alain Jeffrey became angry when I pushed him for the flight information, photos of the puppy in the plane upon arrival etc. The provided shipping company website had VERY vague tracking information. The sinking feeling arrived in the pit of my stomach when after speaking with both the owner and shipping company's customer service, I noticed the voices had the same accent, tone and inflections. They were of the same culture and could have been reading a script.

Please beware of the shipping company as well.

I found this breeder from online and he texted me and asked to send a refundable deposit through Zell pay.

Chase bank called to inform suspicious activity on this business and canceled the transaction

- Nampa, ID, USA

I submitted my contact info to https://www.wedgewoodbalinese.com and immediately received a call back from an individual with a very strong accent. I asked the name of the individual and they said their name was "Mr. Jefferson". I stated that his claim was a bit suspicious being that his accent was extremely strong. I asked to speak to the owners and he said this was fine, but then proceeded to ask me why I was being difficult and choosing not to speak with him. It was at that point I strongly felt I was speaking to a scam artist. I began to state my reason why and then he resorted to personally attacking me by calling me a racist for not accepting his claims. It was at this point I knew my suspicion was likely correct. After he hung up, I called him back and assertively declared that my suspicion wasn't unreasonable given the fact the website had no phone number or physical address and that the whois info for the domain showed the website was created within the last 30 days. After a few more hang up and call-backs, the individual began harassing me through text, as well as calling and hanging up.

These people are sick, evil people. We lost our beloved cat after 12 years and these parasites sit out here and prey on people's grief and anguish. I am just beside myself how effing evil people can be.

Thank you

Scott

Looked up a puppy due to us just having ours pass away & said to send money so it would be shipped to my home, Zelle & Venmo would not go through. They want me to go to wal-mart but I clearly think it’s a fraud, nothing on bbb about it & kept really pushing for that money, kept saying send it now which got me worried, called my bank, they feel it’s also a scam!

- Houston, TX, USA

I was contacted after my pet died and offered a bird for purchase. I made the initial purchase of a pair of birds for $599. Then I was called and told that they needed to be shipped to my area because they were out of state and that I needed to purchase a cage for $800. Then I was told I needed to pay for my birds' paperwork and air travel another $1, 000. Once I had totaled up to $1, 449.00 and had no more $ the seller stopped calling and answering my calls. I even got threatening emails that they should keep my birds.

Now they have my name address and bank information.

Searched online for a Morkie puppy. The website Allyssamorkiepups.com came up with a variety of dogs to choose from. I sent a text message that I was interested in one of their dogs “Vickie” and asked the price for shipping to Florida, I was quoted $160 for shipping. The dog was advertised for $800. I asked the address of their location to see if it was close enough to drive. I was told the address was 151 Broderick Street in San Francisco. I googled the address and found a single two story building that did not look like a likely location for a pet breeder. I asked how I could make payment for the puppy and was told to use Zelle. I said I preferred to use a credit card and the reply was to use Flutterwave.com. I researched Flutterwave and found it was located in Nigeria with many complaints on file. I responded back to Allyssa that I would not use Flutterwave and requested an alternate credit card service. I never heard back again after I told them about the Nigerian service. This convinced me that Allyssamorkie.com is a scam and needs to be shut down. I had my doubts anyway as their quoted prices were 25% less than prices quoted by accredited breeders. Too good to be true and an obvious ripoff to those that do not research the company before sending money to Nigeria.

Purchase of a puppy. A signed contract was sent for me to sign and return with pictures of front and back of $1,000.00 worth of American Express gift cards to pay for the puppy. Documentation (from what I can only figure was a logistics company the same people created) was sent to me about the departure and arrival of the puppy to me. I have screen shots of all the texts, emails, logistic's site in my possession. If I may be of assistance, please contact me ASAP.

After my pet died I was contacted about purchasing a new pet. I paid $599.95 for a blue bird.THEN i was told that it was out of the state and would need to pay for it to be shipped to me. I then was told it needed a pet carrier for $800 and flight. Once I had paid up to $1,449.95 I was sent an email that threatened they would keep the bird if I did not pay. They have taken all of my money and now have all my information: name, address and bank information.

I was looking for a parrot to buy. This website came up. At first everything seemed normal, but the company wanted me to pay them through cashapp which was weird. Also, I couldn't find their store located anywhere in the Canutillo, Texas, which is where they said it was. The cashapp looked like it belonged to a single person and not a company. All the images on their website were not original and were copied from other websites. We engaged in email conversation in which they tried to get me to pay for the bird in small payments, 200, 300, and 350. I think it's all very sketchy.

Hi,
I am also exchanging emails with the same Starbucks bird farm. Can I ask how the situation with them ends for you? We’re you able to find out more about them?

I was given the phone number through Marie on Facebook. She told me they helped her find her missing dog. Talked with owner Brian and he said to send the money to Diane Laird and gave this email address. [email protected]. I sent the money via Zelle got the confirmation number and they keep saying they never got the money. It's bad enough i was in an accident, my dogs gone and now they scammed me out of 400 dollars.

Scammer has a legitimate looking website. After filling out information and sending them a phone number they email and text you. From there to purchase a beagle dog, they direct you to a Venmo username for payment. The Venmo name is @Dwanae-Jorden

My wife & I were in the market for a Shiba Inu puppy. She found this website which appeared to be legitimate. We filled out the request forms for two puppies we were interested in. We later received an email with images and video of the puppies. We also texted with the scammer who said they were at the hospital with family so apologized for being tough to contact. We sent $500 deposit on Monday, Tuesday we sent the remainder $625 and we’re told that we would receive shipping information the following day. Wednesday we were contacted by the shipping company who tried to get another $2500 from us. I looked that company up as the email was suspicious and found fraud reports (animals away delivery). They are in cahoots and both fraudulent.
