The Scammer gave the consumer a call back number 888.6354490, to ask Courtney Herrin (the broker) . They claim they were from Publishing Clearing House 10,000.00 and Brand New Mercedes and askes consumer what color would he like. They asked the consumer for a money order for the amount of 1,875.22 the was for the insurance FDIC. He gave the consumer a mailing address to send the money order. Wanted to make the money order out to Courtney Herrin , address 11839 189th Street , Albin, New York 11412

They said they were publishers clearing house and I had won 5k a week for life, a brand new Mercedes Benz AND some outrageous amount of 10s of millions of dollars. (It's been a few weeks now) they asked me to write down all this info then verify it, so I played along. He said do you remember entering our sweepstakes, I said no. He said, "oh my God! You can't remember that's so sad!" I never entered it. Then he goes on with some babbling bs and finally says we need to be assured we have the correct spelling of your name, could you verify the spelling? I said sure, what do you have there? He paused.. and repeated himself. So I again said, sure I'll verify if what you have is correct what do you have? Scammers never have more than your phone number 99% of the time. He then asked me for a landline number. No doubt to look up my name. I lied and said I didn't have one so he couldn't look up my name. He was pausing a lot and trying to bs me into saying what my name was. I said you just called me so you had to have my account pulled up in order to know I won these millions of dollars... and you don't know my damn name? ?? he said he had to look up my account...then his computer had frozen and he would call me back. He never did call me back. Do NOT confirm info, ASK THEM WHAT THEY HAVE. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANYTHING! NOT EVEN YOUR NAME! AND ESPECIALLY NOT YOUR BANK ACCOUNT INFO TO DEPOSIT THESE SAID FUNDS INTO! WAKE UP PEOPLE!
