PayPal Refund Scam - Buckener's Snow Removal Company Reports & Reviews (1)

Through a search on FaceBook (FB) looking for snow removal for my Mom, I found the scammers Buckener's Snow Removal Company. Supposedly a company of 10. Contacted "Bryan Buckener" via FB messenger who was very responsive. Asked for pics to provide an estimate but I didn't have any to provide at the time. Provided a quote for a seasonal contract, which I negotiated. Stated needed the payment upfront before sending the contract "immediately your done with the payment it will be sent". January 20th, sent payment of $275 to "his wife's" Zelle account Rui Dasilva 863-508-0274. Never received contract. Fast forward to February 3rd, a light snow fall. Called to request services as this was the instructions when services were desired (odd, I know). Was asked to send pics of the property. Pictures sent. "OMG. 275 is just for one time snow. That's a bulky job. I didn't even know it was that much." There was approximately 3 inches of snow and temperatures had gone up to 44 degrees. A long-ish driveway (one plow) and a walkway was needed to be cleared. I was in agreement and thought it was fair that pictures were not initially sent therefore a better estimate couldn't be provided. I was requested to Zelle another $100 to Dalia Delossantos 612-434-3645. "Immediately he (his son) receives your 100$ he will come." His "son" was also going to have the contract. The Zelle transaction was not successful. He proceeded to request I send payment via Zelle or PayPal to the following, all of which weren't successful: Steven F. Knaebel 504-387-0575, Matthew Darquze Shorter Mdkshorter180gmail.com, his "daughter's" PayPal [email protected] (KaNiyah Burnett)--which worked but because my bank wouldn't release the funds, the scammers refunded it back to me. He "created a personal PayPal" and asked I try Krista Kemp [email protected], then requested I try "his son's wife's PayPal account" Lucelis Tordecilla [email protected]. All were not successful. During this back and forth I repeatedly requested they complete the service since I had already paid $275 and time was being wasted. The back and forth had spanned well over 2 hours. They (I was receiving FB messages AND text messages from "the son" who was supposed to have been "on the way" to my Mom's) then began to send me PayPal and Zelle payment requests. All weren't successful. I began to count my losses with the $275 and not be as responsive since payment submission was not successful, hours were going by, and the snow was practically melting. They continued to text and FB message me another Zelle account that was a payment request from Charles Acha. I hesitated but thinking of my Mom, I accepted the request and sent the $100. Was asked to send a screenshot of the payment (this was requested all the time). Then I didn't hear anything. I asked if they were on their way, "yes". Time went by, I called the "business" number 346-209-6554 (which comes up as "Nettles USA International") no answer. Finally get a text saying they got busy doing other work but will be there "you have my words okay". Then I get a text saying the truck broke down, asking me to Zelle $150 to their mechanic "to get a new engine, we will refund the money as soon as we get there, we only have cash." I told them I know they are running a scam. Of course he denied it text he "grant safe deliveries to your destination and always refund your money if you don't like our products or our services". What? Aren't you a snow removal company? He reached out the next morning with the same message about the truck being broke down and that "his father won't help". I again said they scammed me out of $375. He replied "you work is too bulky. If you can add 200$ it will be good". I called them out as scammers and he continued to ask for money! I sent the same message to "the father" via FB messenger and told them both I was filing multiple complaints. No response.
