I received a scam that had led to taking over a PC of my neighbor. We were able to stop the PC takeover. But we do need to report to you this matter. It was a textbook PayPal Bitcoin Invoice Scam, also known as a Refund Scam. The entire purpose of this document is to create panic over a large unauthorized charge (such as a fake Bitcoin or crypto purchase) so the victim feels rushed into calling the fraudulent support phone number listed. I did not provide any banking or credit card details over the phone. We did delete the trojan programs from the PC, but we do not recall their exact names. There were two attempts besides AnyDesk which failed.
