We purchased a sheltie dog from Patriot Shelties for $950. This included both the dog and transportation for the dog from Dallas Tx to Las Cruces NM. On the day of deliver we received a notification the dog was ready for shipment. Later we received an urgent stating the dog could not be shipped in a crate but needed a thermal crate due to weather condition. The cost was $1550 and would be refunded upon delivery. The name of the delivery company is Paw Pal Delivery. We paid the fee. We received another email requesting an additional $1550 for travel insurance and $550 for vaccine verification. At this time we suspected we had been scammed. I contacted patriot shelties and they said they would contact Paw Pal Delivery. We received another email from the delivery company which stated patriot shelties paid $1100 and we needed to pay $1000. At this time we know we have been scammed. Then both the dog dealer and delivery company called trying to get us to pay more money. We refuse. At this time we have requested our money back, but don't expect to receive the $950 from the dog dealer or the $1550 from the delivery company. We have not heard back from either the dealer or delivery company. We are notify our banks about this scam.
