My dad signed a contract with Pasquale on 6/22/2020 to make repairs to my deck. He was to repair all rotted boards, power wash the deck, stain the deck floor and spindles, and stain the bench for $2100 total. He was paid him a $700 deposit. He came to power wash the deck and begin to stain. He stained the spindles and bench. He then told my dad he needed another $1000 for materials. He gave him the $1000 on 6/26/2020. He had not returned for sometime. My brother and I contacted him for because my dad is ill, and Pasquale was aware of that. He always had excuses for not showing up. On 7/15, I spoke with him. He said he would return 7/16 and had the materials ready to go. He explained 2 of his workers were not licensed and that was causing him an issue at the moment causing the delay. Never showed on 7/17. I called again on 7/17. He said he would come 7/18 after 10 to do work but was unsure if he would finish. Still no show. I texted him. He said he would come Monday 7/20 rain or shine. I asked him to text her when he was on the way. No communication. On 7/20 when he did not show again, she left a message asking for him to return money since he is not completing his job. 10 minutes later he dropped off 3 boards at my dad's and left. His text message to me included more excuses for not showing up, now saying Home Depot gave away his order of boards for the deck. He now claims we don't have a contract (which I have a copy of) and refutes the amount of money given to him. He also said he will not return any money because he believes he did most of the work, which he did not. He told me he is trying to complete the job, but I am stopping him. He said he is now blocking me from further communication. He then spoke to my husband calling him expletives, saying "you don't have a leg to stand on," "You have no contract," and "your money is gone pal." Him not completing the repair is causing more damage to the deck left untreated. After researching more about him, he has several complaints filed against him for insurance fraud from Hurricane Sandy.

Same story here, I knew something was off with him showed up to do our bathroom upstairs but he was all over the place. So I asked him to forget the bathroom and just do our insulation and clean out our attic space. He took $500 to hold our place then told us his guys broke both their legs. Then his father was sick on and off. He showed up finally and unfortunately gave him an additional $3000 for "supplies" for the bathroom when I didnt see any "supplies" I stopped the bathroom job and asked him to just do the insulation to say its god awful is an understatement its falling down now but I just wanted him out of here. I am sure a bad job of insulation wasnt worth $3500 but live and learn sorry you had this experience with him as well
