The intention of the payment was to take a 5 hour course ($1,000 in person) ($800 virtually) I agreed to the payments with the intention to take the course in person. After I sent the payment, the business refused to refund me the over charge and continued to extort me for more money for other services. The next day I text them “I have questions about the course” and immediately I receive a phone call. Multiple times during the call they said “you can trust me” without providing any information regarding my initial questions. They did not respond to me until today when our first appointment was scheduled for. They claimed to be “offended” by my questions regarding the services being offered when the information was listed for 3 different prices on their website. ($300, $600, $800, $1000) They explained how the course would cover how to understand which agencies are scams and how to identify them. More information about their services was not included in the website. When I confronted them about their services they told me “we offer criticism and advice on how to pose your body and your facial expressions in order to be looked at by real agencies, we inform our customers…. Not clients….. anyone can create a website and a social media page and consider themselves a legit agency.” As soon as they said this I replied “this agency scam you speak of sounds familiar, I am trying to understand the deceitful marketing behind your campaign because I can easily research commercial agencies for free online, I can easily build my professional portfolio and design my own comp cards to send to agencies. What are you doing for my portfolio to enhance my opportunities to get signed?” The phone conversation lasted all of 15 minutes and within the last 5-3 minutes I could hear in their voice that they were scared and growing aggressive regarding the payment refund. They shouted “it was your fault for sending the money if you were not happy with what we were offering you. Our policy says that we will not refund a payment after 24 hours.” It was as if I was speaking to a child with a temper. Over the course of the month I spoke with my bank and filed 3 different claims regarding this transaction for fraud. All 3 claims were denied due to paying through a 3rd party system, Zelle. I called my bank again and they informed me that the account connected on their end has been closed. This is a scam and I want to warn others to boycott this “business”
