I purchased a gift card for a friend from the company "On Me" which is a website that features gift cards that can be used at a variety of stores. The email that was sent to my friend prompted her to download the "On Me" app. Once she did, not only did the gift card not work, but when my friend tried to use it, it released a virus of some kind on her computer that caused flashing on her screen and warning messages to go off. Now everytime she attempts to access the gift card through the app, it asks her to add more money to the gift card. She was never able to use the amount I was charged for.
