I received a check with a letter saying to take $400 for myself then go to different stores to buy different denominations of Ebay gift cards worth $2000 which I will write a survey on. I was skeptical about this but was curious if the check will clear. I deposited the check and it took a couple of days to process. I did not buy any gift cards, thats for sure, but the "manager" who kept on texting me by the name of John Walter was following up on the gift card codes. The check didn't clear but I was penalized by my bank, charged me $15 for depositing the fraud check.
