I had submitted online for a small business loan. The lender that contacted me was Mint Cred Now. I spoke with a man named David the whole time. I signed my contract with their company. I did not receive the funds which was $5,000. I received a call back stating due to me only having chime as a bank I had to do a promissory note by paying insurance on the money so chime will accept the deposit. I then received a call from chime the representative name was Linda stating that I had to purchase the insurance to release the funds into my account due to it being a prepaid bank. I was first told 150, then it went to 350, but I was told to only have to pay 200 more. I did then I was told it show 2 different policies and I only needed 1 policy, so then I sent the 350 as a whole and was called back stating it was showing 3 policies and I had to pay a extra 215 due to a late insurance payment to release the funds into my chime account. So I then. Asked David to cancel the loan and send me my 700 back. He stated he would and it will be back on my card in 10-15 mins. That was a lie he then called back the next day stating that he will send the money on MoneyGram and provided me with a reference number of #989479867 and I will have the funds from the loan in 10-15 min. That never happened. Money gram calls me and say the same thing chime says was that I had to pay insurance on the money to release it. Telling me I have to pay 215 to get my funds from a loan. Then today David calls me again and state that his company can only pay half of the 215 to release the money to me. I declined and asked for my 700 back he told me no he can’t give the money back cause the 5,700 is on hold with money gram until 215 is payed
