My son attended a phone and then in-person interview for a marketing position. They promised $400-450 a week to start with potential to be promoted after first month to upwards of $650 a week for work hours M-F 9:30am-6:30pm. Job description seemed unclear and pay seemed low, so I suggested he ask more questions if they made offer. When he did, they became very angry on phone and refused to provide any info in writing re: job description, pay info, and did not want to give him any time to think about the decision (he asked if he could have a day or 2 to think about it). They also stated that they have daily required staff development/training hours from 9:30-11:30 which are UNPAID, so they are forcing employees to work for free during these hours. Their website is very generic and I cannot find any legal entity info to verify they are a legit company. They are not listed on SCC or IRS/Guidestar as a nonprofit - they are supposedly a nonprofit foundation. They are supposedly a marketing firm for nonprofit clients, yet they only list 1 other nonprofit partner (LEAD). They are clearly preying on young people/students looking for work either trying to get cheap labor (are they even paying minimum wage?) OR they could be doing worse. There are already similar complaints about them listed - they need to be shut down! My son has the job offer phone conversation recorded.
