A person named ***** ****** made a Facebook post in my town’s buy/sell group that she and her husband started a duct cleaning service and that the first six customers would get a discount. I commented on the post and she messaged me privately. She gave me a quote for service and we set a date for them to come out two days later. The day of, they supposedly had truck issues and asked if they could come Christmas Eve instead. I got texts from two different numbers, +1 (210) 955-0133 and +1 (313) 426-2052, both of which have area codes outside of my state. Her post said they were new, but when messaging with her she said their business was 6 years old. After researching more, she made the same post in other states’ buy/sell groups too and the company profile had an invalid email and no phone number. I confronted them about being a scam and they stopped replying. I also got a call from one of the numbers and the “tech” sounded like they were from the Philippines.
