Said from Medicare. Free back brace. Asked for SSN. I declined. I asked, “do you work for Medicare?” I also asked, do you work for the government?”.

I received and the caller ID said Medicare.

Asked question “can you hear me” then hung up when I instinctively said yes.

A lady call said she was from Medicare and that I was qualified to receive a back & knee brace. I ask who was going to pay for it, she said a tech would answer all my questions later. They call at different times a day. Sounds like a scam.

This person called telling me i was eligable for medicare and asked if i had medicare. After replying with "i never called you" the caller hung up. Probably trying to get me to reply with yes.

Recieved a call Sunday evening at 6 pm from +1 866-558-0776 the lady said she was from medicare and they were doing a survey. I told her to send it in the mail I wasn't giving out info on the phone. She was very persistent..I then told her that I didn't see how she could legally ask me questions without hippa being signed..she rattled off something about that ...Again being aggressive and persistent..I eventually just hung up.

Caller suggested for her to get a free backbrace and my mom gave out her medicare #, which is technically my deceased fathers SS #. They had her address and name nearly correct. So she gave them her lot #.

Some *** sounding guy called from ###-###-#### which came up as "WIRELESS CALLER" and claimed he was from Medicare and wanted to speak with my grandmother who was put in a nursing home not too long ago. Mom picked up the phone and i listened in once i heard her say "she doesn't live here anymore." and the guy must not have understood and asked if mom had any pain in her back or legs and mom kept asked if he meant her and said no and he hung up.shortly after. I called the number back and it gave a automated message saying the mailbox was full like all other *** that try this stuff and googled the number but it gave me info that doesn't seem correct... hope these *** get caught..

(at the active military veteran or spouse section my grandma was married to a veteran but he passed away so i don't know if that matters or not..)

On 01-03-2018 at 10:36 am I received a call from a woman saying she was calling from Medicare. She asked if I could hear her and I say "yes" and immediately the call was dropped. I was expecting a possible call from Social Security regarding an appeal on my Medicare premium so I called the number back. There was no identification of the business from which the call originated. The only option was to dial the extension of the agent I wanted to talk to. When I mentioned this to a family member, they informed me of a scam that only needed the sound of your voice saying "yes" to activate charges on a credit card.

Received call regarding an offer for a back brace, they sound foreign and shared they are in California. They wanted to verify my social security and my spouses will qualify for it. They wanted my original Medicare card that had my social #.

They call back in less than an hour wanted to know my height, size, and weight. No charge free shipping.

I tried calling them and the phone number says "call refused". Caller Id shows their phone number with letters.

Phone call stating it was Medicare and they were sending me a back brace. Asked me to verify demographics and Medicare number.

They call 3 times a day. It’s a recorded message saying that they are offering something about Medicaid. They will ask if you can hear me hoping that you say yes and record it then hang up. I usually say hello again and they hang up. It allows you to press the number 2 to add to a do not call list. But that does not work.

Caller asked if I was available, said yes and then call hung up. Haven't lost anything yet - but wanted to report incident.

This scammer has an accent that sounds like they're from India, very thick dialect. Will only identify himself as a representative with Medicare. Insist that he will have to keep calling until I verify my information shown in their database. But cannot or will not clarify why I need to make that verification. Very hard to understand him because of his heavy dialect.

Numerous phone calls saying they work for Medicare. They said they have a back brace for me and all they need is my Medicare number to get it. It's a scam!

The targeted person is my Grandmother 101 years of age.

On the do not call registry. Caller auto-dial then hangs up... determining when/if the called is at home. When speaking with the person, it’s always someone who has a foreign accent. Caller calls sometimes 3 times a day. Sometimes same caller. When asked every time to delete from auto/dial list and explained the do not call list, the caller then continues talking. The caller does not listen or comply with request. Doesn’t matter if you’re nice or mean. Asked to speak with supervisor told the sup is busy, ... then placed on hold and then hung up on. These calls have been going on for at least 9 months and are unrelenting. The caller id phone number is useless to call back as it “is not a working phone number”

Had a call yesterday from someone claiming to be from Medicare (a Medicare representative) telling me that Medicare now covers the full cost of back and knee braces. They were looking for information to sign me up and inquiring further about my personal health history. That's when I hung up! The next day I read about this particular scam in our local newspaper.

Got a phone call from "Private Number" on caller ID...SAid I was qualified for Medicare Backbrace. Said I would get another call in 10 minutes to verify info, weight, waist size, height etc. Both callers had foreign accents. Second called showed up as caller ID Ada MI 616-227-4260...she asked questions about my United Healtvcare supplement..said I qualified for newest backbrace. Before we got anywhere near talking about Height Weight and Waist, she asked where my Social Security # was issued..and was I born in Colorado. She had Mty Address..clarifierd name, the started the hard push to get my Social Security Number...She said it would be the same as on my Medicare Card which I do not use nor can I find..I use my United Healthcare AARP Card. She said it would be the 9 digit Number followed by a letter. I did not feel comfortable giving my Social Security Number out over the phone to someone I do not know. It was overall suspicious, so I daid to just forget the backbrace...I was not going to give my Social Security Number over the phone to anyone.

They asked to wait for next agent the agent comes on and asks if this is me and I say yes. Then start asking about my back and I hang up.

I've received several calls supposedly from a company (no name given) that has gotten info from Medicare that my husband (who passed away last year) is eligible to receive a back brace or knee brace. I just tell them I'm not interested and hang up.
