To change a changeable ticket, they misrepresented themselves as United so it was thought that United was handling this. They did change the ticket to the earlier return date and confirmed the lower $966 ticket cost with future flight credit of $457. However, they charged $432 for the taxes and fees which they said could not be paid with the flight credit and so they needed a separate charge. After rechecking with United a second time, United confirmed this is not the case. The new ticket is correct at $966 including taxes and fees. The plan is to dispute this credit card charge.

Company deserves negative 5 star rating. After showing up at the airport, airline informed me that ticket was canceled by someone? After calling the support number I was told they can re-book the airfare for next day flight at additional $798 USD with no explanation why the original flight was canceled. In additional they canceled my second flight and charge me another $300.00 to reebok for another flight. No emails with cancellation notice on original booking, no response from customer service, they just do what they want. No one is responding to emails? I feel like this company is total scam! I urge anyone that was victim to file complain with MI states attorney's office here is the link: https://secure.ag.state.mi.us/complaints/consumer.aspx

I purchased a ticket last night for $700 going to Bogota, Colombia. They called me this morning to inform me that the return flight had been cancelled and that the only other option would be to pay extra for another flight.

I told them that I found a cheaper flight than what they were offering me at justfly.com (where I have purchased before). I asked for a refund and the person on the other line said that there would be a $200 cancellation fee. I purchased the ticket and it has been less than 24 hours since my purchase.

The gentleman (maybe same guy on both occasions) was coercing me to confirm the changes that he suggested. At that moment I concluded that this was indeed scam behavior ( felt like scam call).

I don't recommend this company to anyone and ask that people beware of their behavior. The charge has not posted but I already called my bank to inform them and I am waiting to see it reflected to dispute it.

Lookbyfare/ARS Travel Services, scammed me out of 519 dollars! I booked Airline tickets through this company thinking I would get a great deal and because they offer financing through Affirm. I purchased tickets in July of 2020 through lookbyfare for Airline tickets at United Airlines. However, due to the Covid-19 raising in the state I was traveling to I cancelled my tickets with lookbyfare! Lookbyfare claimed they gave me an Airline credit & I could redeem my credit through United Airlines! When I called United Airlines I was told they could see my receipt but no Airline credit. United Airlines stated that it looked like the tickets was bought and voided on the same day and my bank should have received a refund for my voided airline tickets! However, my bank never received any money from them and now lookbyfare is trying to price gouge in order for me to receive a so called airline credit that is not real! They quote extremely high rates, rates over the actual price on their website and rates on the actual airline website. They claim the ticket prices is what they have and when the customer quote the prices on the actual websites these people get upset and hangup on the customer, and yell at the customer! Moreover, when I called United Airlines a supervisor tried to assist me with getting my airline credit from Lookbyfare! I gave the supervisor lookbyfare information and she called on my behalf and lookbyfare told the supervisor that they have no information pertaining to my Airline tickets! Basically the scam is that they take your money, buy the airline ticket, wait for the E-ticket confirmation, send the customers the E-ticket information and then void the tickets and keep the money! When trying to redeem a so called airline credit with them they price gouge for prices way over the so called airline credit, and then lie and say that the airline have the information when indeed they do not! This company will not work with & will not give you a refund or the travel credit! I financed through Affirm and Affirm is also no help so don't trust affirm or lookbyfare! I am sharing the generic flight credit email that lookbyfare sent

I google searched “Air Canada” in order to obtain an Air Canada customer service phone number. The number 844-313-2647 was provided as a top result of that search and I dialed the number. A person pretending to be a 3rd party representative for Air Canada answered, and fraudulently acted as agent for Air Canada. In brief my credit card information was obtained and charged $300.00 under the false pretense of a “cancellation penalty”. After becoming suspicious I obtained another number for Air Canada and spoke to a true employee, who advised that there currently was no such thing as a “cancelation penalty”, and that I had likely fallen victim to a scam.

Hi,

My husband and I had flights from Montreal to Tel Aviv flying out today. We are moving there because we are students enrolled to study there. We had a ticket booked for today but needed to change it so we called Air Canada, or so we thought.... drumroll please:)

Somehow we reached a scam number, that portrayed themselves to be Air Canada. They kept stating that they will check with their Air Canada supervisors or agents, and flight rules and regulations etc. However, they were quoting prices that seemed very high. Air Canada originally told us that because of coronavirus the change fees are waived however, Richard Brown from Lookbyfares, said we have to pay a fee. They told us the price was $469 because we had to pay the price difference between the flight that we have and the flight that we were taking, in addition to a change/no-show fee. He also told us that they would charge $519 but we would receive a $50 refund. In addition, we were told that they would charge it in different charges. One charge of $153 and then the remaining sum. We weren’t sure exactly what was going on but Richard said that if we don’t take the price immediately it will go up. Already feeling distressed about the large amount of money, we couldn’t wait and risk having to pay more. Richard made my husband confirm the price of the ticket via email while he was on the phone using pressuring tactics, therefore, we didn’t take note that the email wasn’t originating from Air Canada (it had Air Canada logos) We rebooked our flights to Sunday, October 25 feeling extremely frustrated that the change was so expensive, and went to eat some cinnamon buns. (Because that makes everything a little better:)

A couple hours later we received two confirmation emails, one from Air Canada and one from an unfamiliar address. We also received a different email indicating our $50 refund from Air Canada (legit)

Immediately, we noticed that something was wrong and called Air Canada (this time making sure we got the number from the official site). The representative from Air Canada was patient and knowledgeable. He explained that the only fees he saw were $76 per passenger (totaling $150) we immediately realized what had happened. We have just been scammed by LookbyFares and Richard Brown (definitely not his real name)! They had charged the $153, which was the actual Air Canada fee, and then pocketed the extra $366. When trying to reach Lookbyfares again, the number we originally called is not in service.

We contacted Chase and we hope they will successfully dispute the charge.

What a SCAM?! I’m so disgusted that a company can prey on human vulnerability, it’s so frustrating! I’m hoping that you can help save people from future heartache.
