Caveat emptor

while attending a family reunion in July, 2023 Caesar's Harrah Resort in Las Vegas, I had what turned out to be what turned out to be an unpleasant experience with Lola Soaps, which has a shop located inside the resort. I should have been more on guard. The sales man engaged in in unsavory tactics to sell skin care products, some of which he said he was "throwing in.," AND at no point did he tell me the price of any product. I didn't walk away fast enough, and despite disputing the matter with my credit card company, was onon the hook for some outrageously overpriced stuff.

Don't accept samples from strangers!

I was minding my business in a resort hotel when a girl comes up to me and asks if I would like a free soap sample. I take it and thank her. Then she said, come inside, I will give you an eye cream sample. I follow her inside, she tells me to sit down and "Francisco" is going to give me a sample. He then puts the stuff on my face. I admit, it looked good. He said, it is $299. I told him I couldn't afford it so, he throws in a night cream. I refused again but seeing how I was sitting in a corner with this man in front of me and no way to escape, I relented. I handed him my card, he told me to wait there. I should have got up while he went to the cash register but feeling deflated, I sat there for a minute. Bad mistake, he comes back and puts some other stuff on my face. He said he could give me that product plus a few more items for a mere $1800. Luckily,
at that point, my guard is up and I refused a few more of his offers, he went to his computer to "see what he can do" and I got up and walked as fast as I could out of there.

Business lures you with a sale of $59 for a face tightening facial and after seated to review other services/products, at which point willing or unwillingly the client is administered an eye product that will take years off your face. It is so quick, not much time to refuse. The Product is applied underneath one of your eyes, to eliminate bags or circles and because supposedly the product is so expensive, it cannot be applied underneath the other eye, therefore one eye is “puffier” than the other and product lasts one week before wearing off. At that point, you feel very vulnerable, especially since I was there to look better and possibly a little younger. The manager is very pushy and persistent, almost to the point of intimidation, since she blatantly refuses to put the product underneath the other eye, to at least look the same. I bought the product because I was embarrassed and didn’t want my face to look weird. You are instructed to use the product once a week, where you want some volume, I got an eye irritation the same night it was placed. I thought it may have been a coincidence, so I tried it again last week, not only did the product NOT WORK, it gave me another eye irritation. Since the business is located in a prestigious location, I had no reason to review the business or verify if part of the BBB, which it is not. I am not sure if it has a license to operate the spa portion on the store. The name of the business is Lola Soaps.
