Type of a scam Online Purchase

I placed an order on 12/4/2021. At the time of purchase the companies website stated that the item was in stock. As of today, 01/22/2022, the companies website still states that the item is in stock. On 12/5/2021 the company charged my credit card for the purchase. This led me to believe that the item had shipped because they charged my credit card. On 12/23/2021 I sent the company a message from their contact section on their website asking for a status. The message that I received, was that the item has shipped and that it would be delivered after the holidays. My family and I went out of town until 01/06/2022. I sent the company another message on 01/07/2022 checking on the status after realizing the package was not delivered while we were away and was informed that the order will be delivered after the weekend. I requested a tracking number on 01/07/2022 but did not receive a reply. On 01/21/2021 I attempted to call the company and received a message that the internet provider that I was trying to reach was not available. I instead received a text message. Needless to say, after several questions they stated that they would refund my purchase because the material in not available, though have previously informed me on two occasions that the item had shipped. A refund has not been processed as of this writing. I have kept all email contacts and text message related to my purchase inquiry. (All information related to this business was "cut and paste" directly from their website) My personal information is on the messages and invoice and not attached for that reason; I do not want that to be publicly displayed.
