They advertise on places like Nextdoor and Craig's List. They are unlicensed and not insured or bonded. More importantly they have no intention of fixing your roof. They take your money and offer a warranty but when your roof leaks they will not come back. The scam is that a person who calls herself "Nicole M" who posts for roofing repair services on the Nextdoor site. After you respond to her she will say that "her hubby Brandon will call you". He calls and is very polite and professional. He will call you on the way to your house to tell you how far away he is. He gets you to trust him as a professional and then he does nothing of any consequence on your roof. A real roofer I called after this guy supposedly fixed my roof said that he did "absolutely nothing".
