There was a job posting on LinkedIn from this company called Jim's Delivery Services. I applied into that and a few days after I received an email to complete an online form asking some personal and professional details. After I completed that, I received an email stating that I have a phone interview set on April 25, 2025. I completed that and they said if I was selected, would be reached further. I received a fake offer letter in my residence mail today, i.e. on May 06, 2025 along with a cheque of C$4162.27 to deposit for training accommodation. The cheque issued bank was BMO, so I went to the branch and personally confirmed that the cheque is FAKE and they recommended not to deposit it. There are more candidates out there like who did deposited these kinds of cheques and it bounced and now they are facing an inquiry from their bank and their bank accounts are frozen for now. I feel no one should suffer from these kind of fake recruitment. I saw three cases of the same type and from the same company. The cheques are usually issued in the name of candidates directly and the issuing party in all of them was 'Red Apple Inc. 6877 Goreway Drive, Suite 3, Mississauga, Ontario L4V 1L9'. Be aware, and verify the presence of company before applying a job.
