Jefferson Capital Systems sent us a USPS letter stating we owe them a PayPal overdraft fee. PayPal denied this letter is legitimate and does not charge overdraft fees. Jefferson Capital sent us a billing statement for a bill that never existed.

Jefferson Capital Systems is a legitimate debt collection agency, founded in 1999 and based in Saint Cloud, MN. So some of their business transactions are legitimate and some are fraudulent. They are taking advantage of people by sending random people invoices and requesting payment for bills that don't exist.

We submitted complaints to the United States Postal Service, the Federal Trade Commission, PayPal, Better Business Bureau, and 3 law firms handling class action lawsuits against Jefferson Capital Systems.

We received a letter saying they are collecting a $2,750.36 debt originally from PayPal. We looked up and even called PayPal and there is no debt on the account and they do not use collection agencies.

Also their website says they're ScamPulse.com accredited. They are not!

My 16yr old son received and bill from this company and they’re trying to collect 514.65 for Verizon Wireless. We have phones that are prepaid from Straighttalk. My son isn’t old enough to have an account with Verizon nor has he ever tried to get a phone from them. I called this collection agency and tried to tell them but they wanted his social security number and a copy of his drivers license.
