I got a text claiming collection for Citibank Chase Manhattan. The balance they were referring to and that account was over 30 years old and I believed had already been settled. They were threatening me with legal action. I was not in a good frame of mind at the time so I gave in and paid them. The caller gave me his name as Jeff King and a confirmation number of 09945c. Also told me that the payment would be clearing my bank under the name of capital processing.
