Was transferred to scammer after contacting ******* ******* for printer support. They said my printer was no longer covered by their support and gave me to iTech.

iTech reconnected my printer and computer remotely, requiring my IP address and that I turn over control of my computer to them. They required $499.99 for lifetime service of any technical issue. They said I should dial in monthly to let them check and service my system to keep it safe. They also tried to get IP information for every device in our house -- another 5+ computers -- in order to keep our system clean and safe. This would have given them access to all our security information and confidential files.

Less than a year went by and they started trying to get an additional $500 each time I called, saying additional software tools were necessary that must be purchased.

Three times, after I argued with them, they did the service to reconnect my printer -- they did not need to install any new software tools as they told me, but it took over an hour each time to get to a manager who would fix it without additional payment.

Today, no one would help me without an additional $500 payment. They disconnected from me four times and said no one, no manager or technician, would help me without an additional $500. It did not matter that I have a lifetime service agreement that I have already paid for.

I am left with no service and a new computer or printer would cost less than they say I must spend.

When I went to my Verizon account, a pop up ad came up. There was a message that my computer system had a virus. There was a phone number for me to call, which I did. They wanted to clean up and add on to my computer. The initial fee was $1500, but the total was going to be $5800. Luckily the balance was denied. They also asked for the last four numbers of my social security number.
