IRS Reports & Reviews (5101)

I let the call initially go to voicemail. It was an automated message saying, (I copied this exact from the voicemail)

"Executed by the US treasury regarding tax fraud against your name. Ignoring this would be an intentional attempt to avoid initial appearance before the magistrate judge or exempt jury for a federal criminal offense. So before this matter goes to federal claims court house or you get arrested, kindly call us back on our number as soon as possible. Its 510-439-2863, I repeat it's 510-439-2893. Hope to hear from you soon before the charges are pressed."

I knew it was a scam, but I called back the number listed. A man with a thick accent answered the phone, "IRS this is Peggy" (yes Peggy)

He said that I was going to be arrested unless I paid them.

I just hung up after that.

I called our local Treasury dept, and they confirmed it was a scam

This number keeps calling with a pre-recorded message saying that the IRS has issued a warrant for my arrest and to call the above listed number to settle my debt. I have no debt, and I’m aware that the IRS doesn’t make phone calls.

Asian sounding man, and a woman, and more saying I owe money to the IRS

Scammer, named Alan Jones, called to state 2016 taxes were overdue in the amount of $3500and that a warrant was out for my husband's arrest. He would be arrested within 45 minutes if he did not make payment. They had addresses, phone number, age of my husband.

I received a call that I owed money on back taxes. They claimed the amount I had paid in the past was less then what I owed due to billing mistakes. I talked to them knowing they were a scam because they claimed to be from the IRS. They said I owed money, they knew old addresses of mine and my maiden name. After talking to one person, they had me talk to another. They claimed I would have a warrant out for my arrest. I offered to go pay at the sheriffs station. They told me not to do that. They seemed to have an answer for everything.

- Amarillo, TX, USA

A female with American accent saying she was with the IRS left a message on my answering machine. She said that I had 24 hours to call this number back or the police would show up at my house and repossess everything and put me in jail. My caller ID said Gastonia, NC. I know better than to believe this message and I did not call them back. I called the ScamPulse.com to report it to them and they confirmed they had received several calls exactly like this one today.

Someone saying they were with the IRS called and left a message on my recorder saying they had a warrant for my arrest. I knew that was wrong because we always file and pay our taxes. The call was from a 121 area code.

Good morning, Yesterday I received an A/C 214 call on my Bluetooth. I let it go to voicemail since I didn't know the caller. It was a lady threatening me with arrest over money owed to IRS. Left this phone number to call 214 329-9148. I saved the message in voicemail. Can you direct me as to whom I should share the voicemail and /or notify in regards to this call.

Thank you, Lary Wolf

I received a voicemail from a number in Yonkers NY stating that I had a warrant for my arrest. I went to my local police department and asked them what was going on, they told me it was a scam. The number called me back and I told the person on the phone that I knew it was a scam and to leave me alone. The person told me that he was going to have me arrested that he was going rape my daughter since he knew where I lived and he was coming to the arrest me. I blocked the number but the police told me it was nothing they could do and just don't answer.
