I received an IRS call from Kevin Mason saying I owed money on my taxes. He threatened me with a civil suit. It's interesting, because I also receive calls from a Kevin, saying my computer has a virus. Obviously Kevin is a popular name choice for scammers right now.

Called my business phone and left a message so I called back and they got mad because I would not admit to being the person they wanted I'm a woman they asked for a man. By the accent they r terrorist trying to scam funding and I'm on a don't call list

Impersonator spoke w/ a broken East Indian accent claiming I owed $900. When I tried to narrow the authenticity of the caller he became irate stating that if we didn't resolve this issue over the phone I better hire a lawyer as this will go to court. I stated that I never received any formal/certified letter from the IRS and required this prior to going forward with his request. He stated that two certified letters were sent and it's my problem.

The caller said he represented the IRS and before he even had my full name stated that the IRS was starting a lawsuit against me. I laughed and told him to mail me the information and hung up

A female voice recording stating that the were from the Tax Legal Department of the IRS and they advised me that this is a attempts to collect a debt that I was delinquent in. they suggested that I call the phone number above and settle this claim.

i have been receiving similar phone calls and have filed a complaint with the local ScamPulse.com and your website.

Tried to collect $5981.72 over phone for taxes that I do not owe. Said that I would be sued by IRS and a warrant issued for my arrest within 48 hours. Also all my assets frozen. When I said that I wanted a written notice to give to my accountant and that he would answer it, they hung up on me.

I received a call from 657-255-1619 stating that the IRS had filed a lawsuit against me and I must pay $8,127 immediately or I would be arrested within 24 hours.

The caller says IRS has filed a lawsuit against you and to call this # 315-690-5235. When you call there is no answer. I hung up on them.

Three calls this morning from someone saying they are from the IRS and that we owe money. If we don't return the calls immediately someone will be arriving from the Sheriff's office to arrest us. The phone number is 310 8684034

I have gotten 2 calls about owing money to the IRS. This was my final notice. The phone says the call was made from Spokane, WA, The return phone number was 509-570-1967. I know it is a scam. I do not want others to fall for these scams. *** ***

I have not answered the calls ( 4 today) the caller leaves a voice mail message and identifies herself as from the IRS Internal Revenue Service and that this is the final notice that the IRS has filled a law suit against me and that I need to call the IRS official number 424-352-6005. No names mentioned and my caller ID shows this as a wireless caller. I received several calls last month leaving a similar message but the caller ID said the number was from Denver, CO. I have never answered or spoken to anyone.

I live in Tipton County Tennessee. I received a phone call from 424-343-8253. The person was claiming to be with the IRS. They said I owed $4000 and if I didn't pay an officer of the law would be at my door within the hour to arrest me. They were very convincing but I didn't fall for it. I hung up on them and proceeded to call local sheriff's office. It's just very upsetting that people get away with this.

Recorded message left on voice mail, stating they've been trying to reach me. This call was officially the final notice from IRS. The reason for the call is the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me. Message goes on to state, please call immediately on department number 646-893-7603. The message then again repeated the call back number. This call back number also shows on my caller ID.

There was a message left on my voice mail stating it was IRS and to contact James Anderson, because they found an error and I need to take care of it. I called when I was checking my messages, and I asked who it was, they stated Dave Wilson. He explained there was an error on my return, and I told him no it wasn't and I know it's a scam, do not call this number again. This was not the first time, my mom was told the same thing, and she actually went to Walmart to send the money. IRS always give you an ID number that what let me know it was a scam, and the number they used was not a 800 number. I hung up, before they could ask for money, or anything else.

I don't know I hung up but they keep calling claiming to be revenue recovery unit and they sound to be from eastern Asia but my phone tells me the call was made from Kentucky
