- Streetsboro, OH, USA

Today I received a telephone call at approximately 9:45 AM and I let it go through to my answering machine. The caller stated basically, "this is the IRS and we need you to call us back as soon as possible as we are watching your premises". Basically, there are just watching me. The caller hung up the phone and that was it. This is the third call I have received with the same message, the first two calls I was not home. I called back the number on the third call and heard a lot of static and finally a gentleman answered and stated the IRS. I then asked, how is it that the IRS is calling, the gentleman hung up the phone.

They said that I was audited and I owed 9'000 in back taxes and I could choose to settle out of court by paying the full amount to them. They threatened to freeze bank account take my home and automobile. They even gave me a false tracking number for the letter they said that they sent. I checked the post office and no such tracking number exist. They also threatened to put me in jail if I didn't pay. Very intimidating people. I'm not the intimidated kind of person so that failed for them. Just want you to check it out. They are still answering the phone there so give them a call 1-419-219-9026 this is not any of the numbers used by the irs or any of the 3 outside companies they use to collect past debt. Please look into this. They sound very convincing. Quite forceful. Thank you for your time.

I received two phone calls. I tried blocking the number but somehow they got through and called a second time.

Message was that this person was an Officer with the IRS. Officer Peters, Card and that they have detected a Tax Fraud on my income tax return. I was advised that if I did not call them back I needed to have my lawyer call them immediately. I did not call them back nor will I.

Today is 05/11/2017. My home phone received a call from what is being said as an IRS lawsuit 3 times this morning. I called back from my cell phone and they said IRS can I help you? I told them I got a call three times this morning then they asked me for the phone number and which it went to I told her I was not going to give her that number but I knew that's what they were doing was a scam. I called back a fourth time she answers the phone with a hello and I said I guess you're not the IRS anymore since you are answering the phone as a hello she hung up on me. I called back again and she says hi can I help you and I can send you to say I was going to press charges on her she hung up again I called back another time and she answered the phone hi and I said how do you feel being a scammer. - Oceanside, CA, USA

I have received MANY of these calls, but not for about a year. They are recordings which state I am

the subject of a lawsuit being filed by Internal Revenue Service. I am provided all the information I have available,

but will add that I am a former IRS employee and I know very well that IRS Does NOT CALL, threatening law suits.

- Hilliard, OH, USA

They call repeatedly and leave messages claiming that they are the IRS. They state that there is a warrant out for my arrest, they are monitoring my property, and to please call back before they take further legal action.

- Sioux Falls, SD, USA

Got two calls one on my cell and one on home phone telling me that an officer James Brown was going to arrest me for back taxes owed. I didn't answer either call

662-241-8044

- Corpus Christi, TX, USA

They identified themselves as the IRS stating if I did not return the call they would file a lawsuit against me.

- Gilford, NH, USA

Had 4 calls today from an automated voice stating they were the IRS, and that they were trying to get hold of me. They actually never mentioned a name, first clue. The automated call stated that they, the IRS, was filing legal action against me. Again, no name use just "you", and no case number etc. They instructed me to call them back at the number, 316-247-4090. This number is somewhere out of Kansas. This is a SCAM, the IRS NEVER calls with a robo-call to tell you there is a problem. They do this by mail. However, once was annoying, 4 times in one day is really an issue. Of course, I did not call back, but wanted to ensure no one else does either.
