I got a call on the phone but I didnt answer because I didnt recognize the number but they left a message that I was going to be arrested by local police and that I needed to call them to resolve this issue so I called. They picked up fast and a computer message told me stay on the line for an available agent I was connected for 11 minutes and then tried to recall them on the third call the same computer picked up again eventually a foreign-sounding gentleman said that he was from the IRS and then asked me my name I told him that he called me what is my name they proceeded to ask for a Jacqueline and I cannot recall the last name I've then told them that it wasn't me so I never gave them my name then the call ended abruptly I personally think that this was a scam

They called saying that if my mom did not provide information they was sending an officer to arrest her. My sister was on the phone with them. They told her do not call a third party. They wanted to know how much was in her and my moms checking account. They called twice and left messages to return the call. I am reporting this to you and the treasury.

I received a phone message on my cellphone "The IRS has issued an arrest warrant against you..." It is an intimidating message asking me to call them right away at 857.424.1725

I looked it up online and see it is a scam to get me to pay them.

I did not call them back so the below questions are "no"...

The person's name is Peter and he said that I have a warrant out for my arrest for tax fraud.

- Creswell, OR, USA

Officer Daisy Smith called me to say I owed money to the IRS. Said this was final notice, even though I've never received anything calls or emails from them in the past. I was given the ID number IRN5208DC51915587.

Said they were the IRS and that I needed to contact them immediately because I have a warrant out for my arrest and they want to talk to me so they can proceed with a lawsuit filed against me

They would call and say the person with my number is part of an investigation with the IRS and to return their call asap and if I don't i would go to jail and when I call back make sure I have my attorney assisting me with the phone call. They would call me at least 3 times back to back.

- Colorado Springs, CO, USA

Someone said that the IRS was suing me for fraud. He had my last name and address. He gave me a case number CW215-576-0103. I told him that I would call the IRS and settle this and he used profanity and hung up on me.

- Grafton, WI, USA

I received a robo call identifying themselves as the IRS and that they were going to file a lawsuit against me. I should call 706-257-0710.

I've gotten two phone calls this morning within one hour both reportedly being from the IRS concerning a "major investigation" about me. It is a robotic voice and it did leave that message on my answering machine. I lost nothing because I didn't respond to either call.

- Waukesha, WI, USA

Caller threatening me with arrest for fraudulent activity regarding my tax return. I did not fall for the scam.

- Virginia Beach, VA, USA

I got a call from someone saying they were IRS and were suing.

The phone number was 501 254 7614

He said there was an error on my tax. I own 9000 dollars and I have to pay at least 500 tonight or I am going to jail.

Hello,

This number leaves a message saying it's the IRS and that they have issued an arrest warrant against me right now and that my physical property is being monitored and it's very important that I hear back from them before they proceed with any legal matter. HA!

- Chicago, IL, USA

robo-call, message states they are from the IRS and issuing a warrant for your arrest because you committed fraud

The phone call claimed there was an IRS warrant out for the arrest of my elderly father. It was a robo call, and my father always pays his federal taxes.

- Marinette, WI, USA

Automated dialing deal left 3 messages for me today. "we have been trying to reach you. This is an official final notice from the IRS, Internal Revenue Service. ...the IRS is filing an lawsuit against you. To get more information...call immediately on our office phone 501 254-7614. Thank you." I called the number and an IRS agent named Jennifer Martin, badge number IR 50246. My case number is DC2145896. They said I calculated my taxes wrong during the years 2010 through 2015. I owed them $8,163.00. They wanted to know if I would pay that now. They had a warrant for my arrest right there. My case was already in Washington DC, at the federal court. I couldn't pay the entire amount, so they wanted me to give them $500.00 now, to postpone this case, and keep me out of jail." I told them that I didn't know anything about it until now, and that I wouldn't pay them a dime until I saw proof that I was wrong. The super visor then told me that was fine. I can just go to court, but the court loses with fees would be $25K or MORE. I told them this was a scam, and then hung up. I called the IRS for real, and they assured me that I owed them nothing. This call was very scary for me, and I am intelligent, and it was pretty hard for me to get them to slip up.
