Type of a scam: Tech Support

Computer showed warning that hackers had taken it over and offered help which appeared to be from Microsoft. Was advised to call 844-428-0849 and did so; was advised to expect a call from a rep. called 'Matthew'. He called from 682-730-5101 and explained that he could free computer from hackers and asked me to allow him remote access. I stupidly did so. After ca. 90 min., Steven X called and offered to install a five-year firewall for $1,299. Money was to be sent to Ultimateshop (one word) located at 1273 Metropolitan Ave. SE in Atlanta GA 30316-9908. Steven said a follow-up call would check to see if all was OK. Have received & refused 4 calls to day from 254-294-5499, a Texas number. Have sent email to [email protected] and said I would not pay a cent. I have used reliable software (Norton) to help remove traces of the scammers and removed two programs they 'planted'. I have thus far seen no attempt to access my bank account and have changed passwords.
