Something similar here. Said he was from Pepco checking to make sure our bill showed clean air energy options. He was not from Pepco but from Inspire Energy. Did not sign up as he attempted to get me to do. A real company but with deceptive practices

Was contacted about lowering my electricity bill. The agent's I spoke to were even able to point out the discrepencies with on my electric bill that I had overlooked. at the end of the call I expected to be connected through to a Duke energy representative to verify information and instead was connected to an individual from some tpp.com or tp3.com not sure which, when i attempted to ask that rep questions, the rep from inspire energy (who was still on the line without my realizing) hung up on the other rep and made it clear i wasn't to ask questions and when i responded and made it clear I was old enough to be his father and when it came to a bill I was paying and any company I do business with and hand money to I'll ask all the questions I please and i will ask those questions of whomever i please, He then stated he would only try once more to help me, at which point i told him not to bother i will help myself and contact my electrical provider directly about the issue. Will edit this to current after i speak to my energy provider monday morning.

Agent name i spoke with: Robert Williams

Agent supervisors name: Danny Smith.

Yeah those don't sound fake at all right?

- Arnold, MD, USA

Two young men came soliciting and initially acted like they were with Verizon FIOS tv service. They asked if I liked the service, what package I had and that there had recently been an update in our area. As we conversed he said FIOS customers in our area were switching to INSPIRE ENERGY( the company they were actually representing). They mentioned the "green" clean energy movement as a reason to switch from my current energy provider. They became pushy and wanted to see a copy of my current energy bill, but didn't explain any details about money savings, service reliability. etc. My main complaint was their false-representation as being with FIOS to get their "foot in the door". BTW, I did not show them my current energy bill and said I'd check out INSPIRE for myself online, whereupon they quickly left.
