- Morrison, CO, USA • Mar 06, 2025

An email is received offering $400 to perform customer service surveys.

You must apply with your name, address, phone, and email address

A few weeks later a USPS Priority mail envelope is received with two things:

1. a $1,980 cashier's check from Credit Union of Texas (I called the credit union of Texas and the cashier's check was bogus)

2. A "congratulations you have been selected as a mystery shopper" letter with Instructions:

- Deposit the check (or try to cash it)

- visit any Walgreens, CVS, Walmart, Target, Office Depot, Albertson, Money Tree, or (get this) any other store near you.

- You must go to a minimum of 2 stores

- You must purchase $1,500 of Ebay gift cards. Use the money we sent to you.

- Evaluate the store for customer service, cleanliness, employee knowledge, etc.

- Gently scratch off the back panel of the gift cards to reveal the code.

- Send clear pictures of the front of the gift cards, the back of the gift cards and the purchase receipts.

- Keep the balance of the $1,980 cashier's check, which would be $480, as the commission. However, the check will bounce as it was a bogus cashier's check

- Email AND text your full name, and the amount on the check you received along with the gift card information.
