I was contacted by a "recruiter" and then directed to Nexus Wifi's "HR Manager" using a code to "sort" my position. He went by Faulkner Michael Reuben, and proceeded to host an interview through text on the telegram app, in which he asked for me to respond swiftly after each text.

A lady claiming she was hr of arbovax contacted me offering a remote job position. Told me to contact her on telegram account told emailed me a check and asked for my direct deposit for the payroll department. They said to deposit the emailed check to purchase the software program to work. The service asked me to buy it in bitcoin and thats when i did not feel comfortable with this process

I was recruited on Indeed.com about a potential sales/marketing position.

Two phone numbers were used. One phone number was local and the other was out of Sacramento,CA.

I was notified to either accept or deny the position.I chose to accept the offer on Sunday, 6/2/24.I was surprised that I received a text the same day they wanted to interview me which I thought was suspicious right away.I chose not to accept it so we changed the date to Tuesday,

6/4/24.The interview was conducted at 10:30am and lasted four minutes.I was told it would last 10-15 minutes.

The job description was extremely vague and he asked me questions I would have answered on a job application. He stated two of the biggest clients they partner with are Costco and AT&T.I was told I would receive notification of a second interview within 24 hours and that didn’t transpire.

I applied for a graphic design position on Indeed.com. A person by the name of Will Bryant reached out to me through email with detailed information about creating artwork for a COVID-19 education project he was working on. They gave examples and offered to sign contracts, paying upfront after seeing some of my work and agreeing to work together. I began designing them pieces and they refused to give any feedback on the artwork, later they said there was a Phase 2 of this project and they wished for me to take it on as well. I agreed, and they then sent a cashier's check of 13,600 for a total payment for both phase 1 and phase 2 of the agreement. After cashing the cashier's check at my local bank, they later said phase 2 was delayed and asked for a refund of 6,800. After clarifying with my bank, they stated the check never went through and had indeed been returned to the sender. The tracking number that was used for this cashier's check is #9405581589978627940071. This person operated within a reasonable manner for freelance graphic design work and while I was impressed by the charge amount, they volunteered information that led me to believe it could be legitimate work. Especially with a fake indeed profile.

Applying for jobs on indeed and thought the email seemed suspicious for a company. They texted and emailed asking to watch a TEAMS video. i did not do anything.

I applied for multiple (Remote from home) jobs on Indeed as a Data Analyst/Data Input Rep. I received a text message job alert from Jane Joseph phone # 1-854-254-4443 that my resume was reviewed and to reach out to the hiring manager via Telegram Messenger @RubalcalvaAguilar_Takis-Biotech_HR. I did this and had a very extensive questionnaire to fill out (my interview I guess). It seemed very professional and informative about the position. I then received an e-mail from Henry Thompson ([email protected]) a offer letter and onboarding paperwork which included a detailed job description wages and benefits, Honor Code/Privacy Policy/ W-4 tax (SSN) form and a direct deposit (checking acct info) form and request for a copy of my drivers license to be filled out and sent back. The recruiter claimed he was from Italy which the company is located and has US affiliates. They have all my private information now. I then was UPS NDA deliverd a check for $4991 (Zion LLC-Idaho location) to deposit in my bank account. It cleared bc it was less than $5000 (which I did not think of at time) Keep $150 sign on bonus and then (all through Telegram with Rabalcalva Aguilar) requested to PayPal JoshuaKolford1 (computer vendor) $1000 and then to get a money order for $3300 from Post office to send to Karen Figueroa at 515 Bellmar DR Houston TX 77037 via UPS NDA. Not do by post office it will take too long and requested no signatures at delivery. That all began red flags especially when the telegram contact kept rushing me and wouldn't send me any credentials of his etc. He did have my Resume from Indeed that he sent me. He was harassing all day long yesterday and day before. I notified my bank that I thought it was fraudulent (they are looking into it). I filed a report with FTC and Ohio District Attorney. The phone number of my so-called supervisor Alfred (740 number) I called went to a vague recording then this guys kept calling my phone non-stop while the telegram guy was getting upset with me for doubting him. In the mean time since I completed what he wanted me to there is another check enroute to my address for $4995 (for a software upgrade they forgot about the day before). It will be here 4/1/24 which I plan on taking to bank to give to them for an investigation. The Rubalcalva Aguilar thinks I am going to do what he asks on Monday so I am keeping in contact with him to not lose touch. I did download the whole Telegram conversation with him this past week to keep for evidence. Today he wanted me to Venmo $300 to Mario Delgado-116 but I told him the app was not working I'll take care of Monday. This needs to be investigated. I reported everything I could and have been checking my things religiously but they have my identity so who knows what they will do with it.

I applied for a job on indeed.com for a remote position. I received an email asking me to download the signal app for an immediate interview with a fake person named Mrs. Altura Itunu

+2

How do you know that the person in question is a fake name? And did you install the Signal Messenger app to officially talk with the person? Apparently, you didn't so unless your GOD there is no way you could distinguish if the name is of a fake person.

They posed as MSC Staffing company on Indeed.com. Interview with a dudebro with 268 other mysterious people on the Zoom call where he revealed the company's name is actually AO International...which when Googling more, you'll find the real company name is American Life Insurance (AO) Agency. Said starting pay for remote "benefits rep" was $87,000k with extra $582/week bonus potential...sounded too good to be true. Asked us to fill out a job form, which didn't make sense considering I had already applied to the job? They were vague in describing the actual nature of the job (probably for a reason). Nothing was adding up (only gets your hopes up), and Google reviews confirmed the sketchy, schemey nature of the job.

I applied through Indeed to a company called Neumann Companies and redirected me to downtown work chat to start messaging with Madelyn Lue who works with Vital healthcare solutions.

It had been a week process and on the 13 of February they instructed me to mobile deposit a check they emailed me for $3,900 and then I will have to send it to private vendors through Zelle and or Apple Pay but it would not go through.

They have my bank account number and my SS number

Royal shipping is a repackage company that ship things to my house and gave me a label to ship things back out and was told that I would get paid after my first month and upon that they logged me out the portal and never heard anything from them I quit my job thinking that it was legit business.

There was a job posting for Doug's Anchor Marine on Indeed for a remote Data Entry Clerk position. After applying someone named "Terese Murray" emailed me. They asked me to download and use a private messanger, Signal, on my personal cellphone. They told me to contact "Dale West" through the number (773) 217-8152 to schedule an interview. After speaking to "Dale", he laid out all the duties and benefits of the job, along with making me fill out a questionaire on Google Docs. He also promised to send equipment, as I could not use my own personal devices for the job.

He then offered me the job and emailed me a Letter of Employment requesting tax and direct deposit information without scheduling an interview, or even a phone call. This is what made me suspicious. After a quick Google search I found that scam reports. They have personal information like my address and phone number, but nothing more than that.

- West Des Moines, IA, USA

This person/people tried to contact me numerous times using numerous ID's, phone numbers, emails etc. They put up fake jobs on Indeed.com for a position. This one was data entry. (I am also a personal assistant). They contact saying they dont have the data entry job open but need a personal assistant. Little by little they try to extract information in the guise of a job interview/an employer getting to know someone. I immediately saw this was a scam and played the game to get the info. First, they tried to be the owner of the company "A Scarlet Knife" out of NY. They used the phone number of 229-283-0472. First, they pretended to be the owner, Paul, then shifted over to being the secretary Alexandra. The email that was used was [email protected]. Luckily, I know to contact through the website for verification. The emails on the site, nor the phone number matched up either.

Second time they tried to contact me, they were Steven Thomas from Nexa Dealer. The first email address it was sent from is [email protected] which turned into the email of [email protected]. This conversation did not go very far. They stopped responding since I called them out.

No more than 30 minutes later, I get a text message from someone named Ms Harriet Anderson off of SIgnal. (I know an employer would never contact anyone this way). Not far into the discussion, their name changed to Ms Marie Anderson. The company they are using this time is out of India called brawnlabs.com. They were CCPing the information off of the website into the text, with the same kind of "interview questions" yet again. I played along with it to get as much information as possible. Starting with common sounding questions with personal ones worked in such as name, what bank I operate with and others. These were the same questions that "Paul" sent to me.

I am saving all of the communication with this person incase it will do any good to bring them down. I will forward any email, text, and info that I have that could help you solve this. It seems like the phone numbers they are using are not registered in the USA, and the closest I could find was in Mexico. So, Im not sure 100% what country they are from.

I have also contacted each business letting them know that they are part of a running scam, as well as contacting Indeed.com (where they admit they got the application from) letting them know this is going on as well. I let Linkedin.com know as well incase anyone else reports anything like this.

The common person would fall for this in a heartbeat, and this is not an amateur.

At the end of playing along, I added in the text message saying that I sent them an email off of the email that is on the company's website for security verification reasons, and as soon as I hear a reply back, I will go forward. This is the point they shut down and run. They have no way of responding from the correct email off of the website. After the third time this happend, I completely called them out. They have now completely run and I can not get any form of a response.

I will help in whatever way I can.

OMGness, I thought I was the only one! I had a person by the name of Riggle Virginia. Google the name and found a few with this name deceased. I received checks from a restaurant. I started asking questions as to where he worked and his location. As well as his occupation. The person said they worked at a veterinarian's office. I questioned it and they said the restaurant was sponsoring his employment. I called the veterinarian's office and no one by that name worked there. OMG, I'm sick of these people. I called them out and they said I was a fool for thinking that and that I would never get a job. I told him "I have a job a******" and blocked him. It's crazy how people are so evil!

Same thing happened to me. Same phone number. I applied to a job on LinkedIn and got a message stating that position was filled but I would be a good candidate for a personal assistant. His name was Alexander and he played it so good. Went into great detail about how busy he is etc. Was sending me checks to deposit into my account to then get a money order to send off to his "distributor" for my equipment.

I went through indeed as well and so tired of the scams! I applied with StarPro and was contacted by an Alex with that same number 229-283-0472. My communication was through email. They wanted to send me a money order to then cash it and turn around and send my money order to buy equipment. Made no sense to me and I said no right away. I feel like it is people who work for Indeed. They had my resume and this has happened to me twice with Indeed and no one else.
I hope others see our message so they don’t make a mistake.

I recieved an email saying they were possibly interested in hiring me, but needed more personal information. I didnt remember what the job or company were, so i looked them up on indeed. I couldnt find anything on my application lists or a general search. I then googled it. I got the email from Shelby Harris, which is known to be a scammer. The official website said they dont hire for quality control, which was the potential hiring position. I never gave them any additional information, so i wasnt compromised.

I applied for a job on Indeed.com that was for a housekeeping job in the Greenville, South Carolina area. I am not sure, but about 75% sure that the ad said it was for a company called "Two Maids and a Mop". I applied for the job, and the following number sent me a text message on 01/24/2024 (843) 983-1866, a Wednesday, at 7:00 p.m. saying, "Thank you for apply on Indeed for the Housekeeping position in Greenville area. Tomorrow Thursday Jan 25th& Friday Jan 26th we have the interviews at 1125 Woodruff Rd #1705, Greenville, SC 29607 (Insade a Pandera Bread) from 11AM to 4PM, bring 2IDS form&reply for questions." At 9:21 p.m. the same day, I text messaged them back, "I will be there on Friday." On 01/25/2024 at 10:21 AM, they responded with a text message that said, "Thank you" Then at 7:09 PM the same day they sent me the following text again, "Thank you for apply on Indeed for the Housekeeping position in Greenville area. Tomorrow Thursday Jan 25th& Friday Jan 26th we have the interviews at 1125 Woodruff Rd #1705, Greenville, SC 29607 (Insade a Pandera Bread) from 11AM to 4PM, bring 2IDS form&reply for questions." At this point, I did think that the fact that they wanted to meet inside a Panera Bread location was a little odd, and that they wanted "2IDS". Against my better judgment, I went anyway. I arrived in the parking lot at the Panera Bread location, at 10:42 a.m. on 01/26/2024. I sent them the following test message at 10:43 a.m. "I am here at the Panera Bread, are you folks here now?" They never sent me a response. At about 10:57 a.m. I walked from my vehicle, into the Panera Bread front entrance. I told the folks working at the counter, that this may seem like an odd question, but I informed them of the interview, and what was going on. At this point, it was sinking in that the interview was probably not legitimate. They told me that they knew nothing about it, and expressed concern for my safety, believing that someone was trying to scam me. They asked around, but no customer or anyone knew anything about the job interview. I showed one of the employees who I spoke with the text message, between me and the other person, whoever they really were, and this person thought this was odd as well. I left. I will be much more skeptical in the future. I did block the phone number they contacted me with. They do have my resume which contains my address.
