Type of a scam Phishing

Caller said he was from Amazon and said that he needed to verify my information for an order. I told him I had not placed an order. He said an order was approved on an Amazon account and I told him I didn't have an account. He told me if I don't comply with his requests "all my financial accounts will be blocked" and told me to go and get a voucher to "link my accounts" which didn't make sense to me. He called it a CJAE voucher. He then told me that he would need to issue me a new social security number. He said I would need to go to my local Walmart and purchase a gift card. None of it made any sense and I knew it was a scam. I told him he was a scammer (which he denied) and told me that all my accounts would be locked AND I'd be arrested. He then revealed that he was calling from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). I note that he had a very strong Indian accent. He claimed his name was Haskin Morris and gave a fake badge number of #02127. I gave him NO personal information and when I hung up I called all my credit card companies and had all cards canceled and reissues just to be on the safe side. I feel bad for others who will get calls from him and fall for this and possibly lose money or give out information that can be used improperly. That's why I wanted to report this.
