My Husband is the owner/operator of his drywall business with no employees. These scammers emailed him an invoice for services a week after he got a bogus sales call in which he rejected services. BEWARE!

BEWARE! These are complete scammers! They talked to my 88 year old father, telling him they had done online advertising services for his business (that we had closed.) Luckily he referred them to me as I do his book keeping. I phoned them and they did a very good job trying to play two people against each other. Saying that my father had requested a service and we owed $668. from our business - I told them the business was closed a year ago. I was thinking maybe it was something I missed and to send me the bill by email, which they did. None of it made sense though and when I phoned them and asked them quite a few questions in regards to details of what "we requested according to them", they backed off and said they would remove the invoice. We did not pay, but I can see many businesses getting caught up and paying these scammers. I took off our private info but the invoice below is what it looked like. Very sad that there's people out there that can't make an 'honest' living.

I received a call in May 2016 asking if I wanted to list my company in their Business Phone Directory which would be made available to businesses in my area. I was told the service was $695 but I declined the offer. In May 2017 I was called again by them this time they wanted me to do an email transfer for the amount owing on my bill and they wanted to renew my listing. I asked for a copy of the invoice so I could see what it is I was being asked to pay for. A copy was emailed followed by a paper copy in the mail several days later. The invoice which I attached to this report showed I owed $1171.81. When they called back I told them that I did not authorise this service and to cancel it. They advised it was to late to cancel and that they could give me a discount of if I emailed them the money right away. I refused and hung up. I continued to receive calls, text and emails reminding me that they were working hard to keep my business website ranked number 1 on *** and that I owed them money.

To date I have not paid them and have spoken with them stating I am not paying the bill. I am the sole employee/owner and no one else would of authorised this work/service.

A representative from Img Link contacted our business and asked my husband questions about our company and then offered an online service. My husband said to email the details but did not agree to any such service since we already have a website and we were considering closing our business anyways.

A week later we get an invoice in the mail with a link to our "new website" where they had stolen all of our information off of our existing website. The invoice is for 6 months and is $1,088.85 (including gst/pst) and the company is located in Montreal. I called the company to say that my husband does not do the billing and that I decide on marketing and that I did not authorize the service and we do not need the service, they said they would suspend the account (but I figure they will send another invoice soon regardless). We also had a similar scenario happen yesterday with Canada Business Pages Online. Looks like our information has been sold to different scam companies trying to prey on small businesses.
