Late one night, while browsing the web, I was contacted by an individual representing ILTS Tutoring. Despite never entering my contact information on their site, they somehow obtained my phone number and called me. The representative persuaded me to sign up for their online tutoring services, promising multiple sessions and support.
During our interaction, I explicitly requested a live video session via Google Meet or Zoom to discuss the tutoring process. However, my requests were ignored, and I was informed that the only "live" interaction would be via email. This was not what I had been led to believe.
After realizing that the service was not meeting my expectations and was different from what was initially promised, I requested a refund. It was only at this point that I became aware that I might have been scammed. The use of a name so similar to a legitimate business, Tutoring240, added to my confusion and concern.
The whole experience has been highly distressing, and I believe others might be at risk if this situation is not addressed. I would appreciate it if you could investigate this matter and provide guidance on how I can recover any funds lost and ensure that others are protected from such fraudulent practices.
