College students outside of grocery store described that they would get book money for a $19 paid in their name to Hustle for Humanity, with a postcard given to me to mail in for a $10 gift card. After 6 wks I called and was told by an answering service that "they" (HFH) was currently serving overseas but to email them. I emailed asking for the gift card. Email reply confirmed my address and said it was being sent. I then found another charge to my account. I emailed them, and was asked if I signed up for recurring. I said absolutely not; please credit my account. I was told via email that it had been cancelled with a confirmation code. I replied asking about my account credit, but after over 2 wks still no reply. My account was never credited and no gift card ever arrived. I contacted my credit card at that point to dispute the charges and get my account credit. Lesson learned.
