I ordered The Book from this company on 11/10/2024 and never received it. By 12/9/2024, I had finally received a communication from the postal service that the box for my shipment was empty. I submitted a missing item search request with the USPS but they failed to find any evidence of the item. I contacted the Hungry Minds company 12/18/24 to advise I never received my item and requested a refund. The company made no effort to resolve my issue so I contacted my PayPal Credit account to request the charges be reversed. When PayPal researched the case, they advised Hungry Minds had stated my item was delivered so the transaction was legitimate, even though I had communicated to them that the package was empty. After my first PayPal dispute was rejected, Hungry Minds then pushed through a second, unauthorized transaction for the exact same amount ($127.63) as the first but this time did not list their company name. This company is perpetuating a scam where they pretend to ship an item in an empty box and then claim it was delivered because the shipping label was scanned. They are also pushing through unauthorized charges when consumers attempt to protect themselves from this company's unscrupulous behavior.
