Applied for personal assistant job…was told they needed someone to run errands and place online orders with Amazon. He stated, the job pays $500 weekly and he will also send money for supplies. This is a SCAM!

I applied for a job hoping to land something interesting. Applied to two personal assistant jobs on LinkedIn and both (different people) had replied without ANY interview asking for the following:

Full Name...?
Current Mailing Address:...?
Cell phone number:...?
Any form of ID to complete the verification process for the
position:...?

There is no way I am sending this information without speaking to someone. After getting two of the same email from different people, I googled the second ones name and this web page was the first result. They even have their own WEBSITE now that they direct you to with NO contact info (numbers that you have to text only) and no artists or owners listed, just random art. No address, nothing. I saw an ad of a company stating they needed a personal assistant. They stated that they would send a check that covered your first week as well as petty cash for the supplies they needed. They overnighted the check and when I received it, it had a different company name on it. Once received they told me to go to Walmart and buy 2 Visa Gift Cards with my money. They promised to pay for my gas expenses as well. They did not. When I told them the check was fraudulent, they got upset with me and started using profanity.

They sent me a Fake Check in the mail. Waiting for futher instructions. It's a shame that people are scamming people out heretrying to make some money to live.

It’s a fake check. I was looking to pick up a second job. I saw the post on Indeed. Applied. They never mentioned their name. They try to push you to hurry and cash the check. They even provided a tracking number when the check got mailed. Don’t fall for this!

They overnighted the check and when I received it, it had a different company name on it and the routing number and account number were wrong. I called the bank that issued the check and they confirmed that the check was fraudulent.
